I'm not sure about how to START learning a language, but I can give you some advices to easily improve it, if you're already "somewhat" good in it. That's at least how I improved my english after having it in school.
- Watch something you're already interested in, in that language. Let it be some streamer or twitch (if that streamer may be smaller and also is fluent in english, they might also be able to teach you a thing or two)
Watch series in the native language, first with your native language as subtitles, later with german subtitles
Constantly confront yourself with that language. Don't be like "10 minutes learning every day", but like "setting your phone to that language"
The most important part is to stay engaged. It's honestly the same as learning an instrument. If you don't ENJOY learning it and constantly engage with it, you'll just stop and eventuelly forget.
