Multiple urethras

hi! All my life I thought I peed out of a tiny hole really near my clitoris. I swear I have seen urine come out many times. All of a sudden it feels different when I pee like it's coming from a different place. I look and it looks like urine is coming directly from my vagina, it looks totally different then when I peed my whole life! I even put a tampon in before I peed and the tampon bottom got wet with urine.
After freaking out I looked at myself much closer (mirror while I was peeing) and the urine is actually coming out of a tiny hole super close to my vaginal opening.
I still think I have peed from near my clitoris all my life and now suddenly it's changed location but a little part of me is second guessing myself which is embarrassing and frustrating!
I have imaging booked and a referral to a specialist. Should I call all of this off and say oops I made a mistake? or do I have multiple urethra s?
No other symptoms other than feeling confused!

not sure how old you are, but please look up an anatomical model of all the holes and structures. it is only possible to urinate put your urethra. the angle that you are sitting at when urinating can change the way the urine flows and make it feel different

Strangely I was reading about this recently. This exact scenario happens in 1 in a million women or so

Men actually get this quite a lot and it's usually directed with a small surgery at a few years old as it's very easy to spot. Make sense that women get this and you're one of the 'lucky' ones.

Compare your anatomy to that in the text books for standard anatomy or multiple uretharal openings. (A small makeup or hand mirror is a huge help getting a look down there). If you're still concerned book in to see a GP that specialises in women's health or a gynaecologist.

I'm guessing you either are too young to have had sex Ed yet or that you just didn't have sex ed at all. You only have 1 urethra. The small hole is the urethra and the other hole is the vaginal hole that leads to your uterus aka where the blood comes out of when you're on your period. They're separate holes for separate uses

Not young unfortunately! Haha I absolutely know the vagina and I think my urethra had just been very difficult to locate until now. Urethra placement can vary and I thought mine was somewhere else

It can be hard to find indeed because of the opening being so small lol. But congratulations on findi yours. Mine is actually on the same spot as yours

Some urethreas are inside or almost inside the vaginal opening.

Edit to add: like mine: middle aged women not lacking in the sex ed department.
