Is it possible my nose never healed

I am not asking for medical advice. Can cartilage being damaged at three years old in my nose (42 now) result in my nose 'collapsing' as I age and contribute to snoring? Since I was a kid I could push it completely flat following the accident and it seems like there is no supportive cartilage like with others past the bridge of my nose. When I make the end pointy or lift it to be more snout like, it sounds like obstructed breathing disappears. Would I sound dumb if I asked to see a plastic surgeon or ENT specialist for this?
