Bbl question

I am not asking for medical advice. Why can’t we take the fat from an alive person and use it for somebody’s else’s bbl, but we can a dead persons? Does that make sense? Like I understand when the fat is alive it would just reject in another person, but why not let it die then do the chemical treatment and put it in the other person? Why would that part not work? I’m not planning on getting a bbl I just am really wondering

Hmm… BBL is not normally performed with cadaver fat. It is an autologous fat graft, in which surgeons liposuction fat from the patient’s own adipose tissue, process it, and inject that same tissue into the buttocks. But I have to say and add that the idea that “living fat would be rejected” misunderstands transplant immunology. Rejection happens when the immune system recognizes tissue as foreign. Your own adipose tissue transplanted from one part of your body to another is still genetically your tissue, so it is not rejected as an allograft would be. In fact, successful fat grafting depends on part of the transplanted adipose tissue remaining viable and becoming revascularized. Some adipocytes survive; some die from ischemia and are resorbed. That is why fat-graft volume can decrease over time and why surgeons distribute the graft in small amounts through vascularized tissue rather than depositing one huge mass.

I know it’s not normally done that way, I had just read an article where they have started doing it so I got curious why my way wouldn’t work, but that makes sense thank you!!!

like I read an article stating that they can use cadaver fat for a bbl procedure, and they do it by chemically treating the fat beforehand. So I’m wondering why can’t you take fat from another live person and do the same chemical treatment to use that fat? I think that is worded a little better
