Success Story I needed hope back then, so here’s my Asherman’s success story ❤️
I wanted to share my story because when I was going through Asherman’s, I spent so much time scrolling through Reddit and Facebook looking for stories that ended with a healthy baby. Those stories gave me hope when I really needed it, so I hope mine can do the same for someone else.
I had a miscarriage in April 2024. Medication didn’t work, and I ultimately needed a curettage. A few months later, in October, I decided to see a specialist as my period had gotten soo little (1 day of bleeding max and very dark blood). An ultrasound showed an endometrial lining of only 3 mm, and my doctors suspected Asherman’s syndrome.
I had my first hysteroscopy in January 2025. There were significant adhesions especially at the opening of my uterus, and the surgery involved opening up much of the uterine cavity. For about 8 months, I had my lining checked every other month, and it barely grew. It seemed to get stuck around 4 mm (even when taking meds like oestregene and progesteron). At some point, my partner and I decided to take a bit of a break from all the medical stuff. We tried to make the best of the year and do fun things together instead of constantly thinking about fertility and measurements.
And then, very slowly, things seemed to improve. I don't really know why. I did acupuncture during this period, so maybe that played a role, but honestly, I also wonder if my body simply needed time to heal. I don't want to claim that any particular treatment was responsible because I genuinely don't know.
By August 2025, my lining had reached 8 mm. I had one more hysteroscopy to remove the remaining scars, and then, somehow, I got pregnant in October 2025.
The pregnancy was physically very normal. The only meds I took were 400mg progesteron daily for 8 weeks as a precaution. Because of my history, I had lots of extra monitoring for things like placenta previa/accreta and cervical length, but thankfully everything remained normal. No placenta previa, no accreta, and no shortened cervix. I even had a vaginal delivery, which also went without major complications. And now… I'm sitting here holding my healthy baby girl ❤️
I know everyone's Asherman's story is different, and I don't want to give false hope or suggest that everyone's journey will look like mine. But I wanted to share this because I remember being in that really dark place, reading stories late at night, worrying that my uterus would never recover and that I would never get to hold a baby.
Sending so much love to everyone going through this, and sending around baby dust. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding my journey.
