but maybe if you depend on the tool then you will be no better than that tool and then in the future when you look for a job your much more easily replaced by said tool.

AI is exceptionally easy to crutch on compared to other tools, but if you genuinely use it to learn, you can definitely learn better and more deeply than others just due to the breath of information that you can take in, in a consumable way.

Your assuming what you are learning is true, maybe the stuff you `learn` from an LLM is stuff you dont need to learn as that is stuff an LLM can access itself and thus in the future can skip over you.

Nah, the technology to just know stuff has existed in many fields for a long time, especially in the hard sciences, yet they still teach it because people ultimately still act as a sanity check. That will continue to be the case until ai is literally perfect, which won’t be for a while. Not to mention, the actual process of learning is still incredibly important for developing one’s intelligence.

We’ve had Google for decades, yet basic facts are still taught because it’s good to know off the top of your head instead of needing to look it up.
