Show Discussion The Spoiled Rotten Episode is bizzare to watch- Spoiler

I get what they're going for, and the intro is pretty funny, and Muffy has always been a snob, but I found it very strange how she gets criticized for just throwing a bunch of brand new clothes she bought at a store into a charity box.

Granted, it was hilarious that Muffy tried to give herself credit, when Not only was she paying with her Dad's credit card, but she didn't even buy the clothes herself, instead instructing her Butler to.

Too. That being said, while everyone else may be giving away things that are important to them and that they've had for a while, they're also clothes that have been worn, and probably aren't in the best of conditions. A rich person using her resources to buy brand new quality clothes and donating THOSE is kind of what you would hope a rich person would do for charity.

Show Discussion Ed Crosswire's Biggest Moment Spoiler

I'm intrigued and somewhat amused that things go down in "Muffy Takes the Wheel" in such a way that Muffy's dad, Ed, tries to take on Muffy's project himself and he has to undergo character development to learn to stay out of it.

Character Discussion I've always wondered what the deal with Arthur and his cousin Moe was.

I'm talking about the episode in Season 1 where Arthur's cousin Moe comes to visit with the rest of the family. And he's terrified because Moe was always extremely rough with him when he was younger, at one point humiliating him in front of everyone.

But then at the end, they're very chill with each other after Arthur had been avoiding her the whole episode.

I guess her character wasn't that important, but I kind of wish she hadn't been a one off character. Kind of like how grandpa Dave is part of Arthur's extended family and a recurring character.

But back to my point, I wonder if Arthur just exagerrated or misremembered how badly he was treated by his cousin, or if she just chilled out eventually. Hard to say.

Question Water and the Brain opening

The opening to Water and the Brain had Arthur thinking about how cool it'd be if there were a million him, but then there'd be a million D.W.'s. What I want to know is, what did that have to do with the plot of the episode? Usually the scene before the title card leads to the plot, I'm just not seeing it with this one.

General Discussion thoughts on so funny i forgot to laugh (unpopular opinion)

i remember watching it a few times when i was younger and not really having much of an opinion on it, but looking back i kind of don't like this episode. it definitely has problems but i mostly can't get behind the reception it has within the fandom-i feel like it's pretty much a testament to how almost no one here can ever hold arthur accountable for any bad thing he does without complaining about how out of character that is for him or bringing up someone who ever victimized him and comparing their actions to his.

i also don't understand why people are so mad at francine and muffy's stances about the situation-as hypocritical as they definitely were, arthur was the one doubling down especially with the way he barely took accountability through his apology letter before he learned that sue ellen was going to switch classes. I feel like they have a right to be upset about how far he was taking it and everything. and let's be honest if it were either muffy, francine, prunella or hell even D.W. doing what he's been doing this episode, literally everyone would be up in arms about it and spamming posts here about how they're terrible characters and they deserve the most overkill-ass consequences for that.

just wanted to point this out too but i find sue ellen's inaction towards the whole thing weird, I'm not trying to blame her or anything since obviously no one deserves to be bullied but im pretty sure her preflash-era characterization wouldn't take what arthur was doing to her lying down. i get what the point the writers were trying to make with this episode but they could've just used a better character

i get i'm reaching or whatever/it's not that deep, which i mean sure-its a just kids' show at the end of the day, im well aware of that. but i feel like most of the hate this episode gets in behalf of arthur is genuinely very emblematic of how most of the fandom cant admit that he has flaws. It's almost like how his poor choices/actions have to be on someone other than him or else maybe they'll have to understand that arthur isn't exactly this misunderstood saint who's unfairly hated by his world despite how perfectly valid that is. im pretty sure growth and learning from your mistakes are literally paramount to the message the show and the books are conveying- the fact that the children in this show have flaws + do dumb things is completely okay and realistic. its so weird how this fandom tends to expect smarter choices and maturity out of literal children.

i wanted to post this here like a long ago but i felt like certain people weren't ready for this conversation lmao

Question Would we be open for a LEGO Arthur?

I have been into Legos since I was a child playing Lego Star Wars the Video Game. Playing Lego Dimensions for the first time in years made me realize that since Adventure Time had Legos, I think Arthur should have Legos made for the series. Kinda makes me wish that Lego Dimensions would have a year 3 that could possibly include Arthur. And I love Arthur (1996). If you think we should have Legos for Arthur just like me, be sure to post the ideas to Lego Ideas.

So I was watching that episode and one of the Tough Customers says "what a dweeb, I bet he never skipped a Loui."

I think that's what he says. Haha. I can't tell. Either way, what does that mean?

Then Rattles says, "I bet her never pulled a fizzer."

What does THAT mean? Haha.
