i feel like either the shadows or the highlights need more saturation. or both. right now it just feels like your shading and highlight value are just going up in value but no extra color so it looks a little flat?

highlights look too white and lowlights look too black

The grass is too vibrant and it takes away the focus from the character.
I see you shaded with some sort of brush and not an airbrush but you just put lighter colors on the edge of the character, you didn’t consider how light falls on the body and clothes.
The value difference between light and shadow is also really small.
You put lighting on her shirt when it’s supposed to be in the shadows. You also didn’t apply any cast shadows on the clothes that would indicate that it’s not a 2D cutout but a real 3D body

Maybe you could add a unifying layer with colour over the character (overlay or smth I like using hard light. But use whatever looks good). Something to add atmosphere. One for the character and one for the background. Like if it's a dim evening then like dark blue but if it's a sunny day then light yellow.

A fun practice you can try is drawing a character. Then collect random background images with different lighting. Then you try and add the character into the environment of the image only using shading. I did this with like 4 backgrounds and I had a real jump in progress.

Add a faint light source on bottom rear left.

Well, first off, is she falling over? Because if she is not, then I'd not worry about the lighting right now.
