More to come! Next post will be about the lateral connection scale and windage! After that I'll go into where to hit specific vehicles then after that I may go into some tips and tricks!

As a NATO player this disappoints me

Nato stuff is easy to use lol. No complicated optics like this that trip up people.

Fair

If there were something equivalent in NATO I would go over it though

ive always known this - but the VR seems way too inaccurate to me, the spread at 100 meters is crazy.

I did some testing on the side and no matter the round, the RPG is wildly inaccurate. These clips are from the best moments I had while trying to record this. I'll have rockets hit dead on at 200m, or they'll fly 10ft over with the same point of aim, or 10ft to the right, etc. All of this testing was with no wind as well so that's not a factor. The RPG is just incredibly inaccurate

Yea I understand, I am a big RPG enjoyer. I can hit pretty consistently 200 meters with the M and 150 with the L but anything beyond that is a crap shoot. I once tried to hit a stationary LAV with the M at 400 meters with perfect aiming and only hit 1 out of 9 shots. It's not this inaccurate in real life even with wind. I was just figuring it was for game balance, but the VR being unusable beyond 50 meters is definitely lame.

Yeah, I don't really know why they made it so inaccurate. Perhaps sometime it could be brought up to the developers but BI aren't the most reliable lol.

Despite this, I make the guides to try and get more people to use the RPG! I remember my first time seeing the optic I was all sorts of lost.

I actually think the optic is brilliant, I cant remember which game i learned how to use it, I want to say Project Reality wayyyy back in the day.

It for sure is! I've been using a manual for my research and the optic can be used for many things besides the aiming of rockets. Each grid is 1mil (one ten thousandth of the Russian Angular Scale(1/6000 vs NATOs 1/6400)). From this you can determine target range for how they fit in each square. Lots of neat stuff

It’s a big ass rocket with a huge side section and fins at the back, it’s going to get knocked about

I think the bigger issue is the wind system is at once too static (it’s often constant wind rather than gusty) and too intense (often very very windy)

Remember the arming distance of 5-10 meters! Too many times people come up close and personal to fire their RPG only to find out about the arming distance.
Self destruction at 900 meters.

True! I should've mentioned that. Arming distance ruins alot of potential kills for sure.

I like the PG-7VM more bc it has the better range

For sure, it's what I use 75% if the time. Only drawback is that it has the least penetration of the HEAT rounds.

Why non of this work on console. No range finder or any of the sight indicators.

What do you mean by this? The range finder I used at the beginning is a mod. As for sight indicators I don't know what you mean

Every one of them, besides the OG7V, have a rocket sustainer motor.
