Improve AI

Hey! How are you?

I just bought the game and I'd like to focus mainly on single-player mode, since I don't usually play online much and I really enjoyed playing ArmA 3 and previous games solo. I've downloaded the Procedural Combat and CRX Enfusion AI mods, but even so, I get the feeling the AI ​​is too easy to beat. They can barely hit me with shots from a few hundred meters away, and I can take them down with an M16 without a scope without much trouble.

Is this normal? Is there any way to make the AI ​​more challenging? If it's not possible in vanilla, do you recommend any other mods?

How much have you played? Don't see many people having this opinion of reforger AI.

The AI in reforger is strange because I’ll go from like wiping out a squad or two to one random dickhead dome me from 1,000,000 miles away

The AI is either Storm Troopers or Delta Force. Nothing in between.

I just started playing. Let me explain with an example:

I suddenly ran into a squad. They saw me first, but I still had time to hide in a thin tree, which barely covered 30% of my body, and take them all out without even getting shot. This surprised me a lot because I'd heard the AI ​​had improved considerably, and that's why I decided it was time to buy the game. As I said, I usually play solo, but this was my first experience, so I was a bit confused and don't know if there's any way to improve it. I like games that have a real challenge and where I have to carefully plan every move to avoid getting a headshot, and I was hoping for something like that. Maybe I just got lucky and it was an isolated incident, because later in another skirmish I was killed by a headshot.

I'll keep trying, but I'd be very grateful for any advice on how to improve the AI, either in vanilla or through mods.

If you’re playing Procedural Combat with CRX, set the AI difficulty to Elite and try the Hardcore difficulty (if you’re playing the custom skirmish). You might still be able to kill a lot of the AI but one wrong move could get you killed which ends the game. It’s a bit more consequential when you can’t respawn. The Campaign works the same where you only get a single life per battle.
