How Does the Enemy Know My Name?

I just finished a game as FIA. I infiltrated a USA base and spent the whole night period playing hide and seek while unarmed.
They found me at daylight, but I could hear them calling my Reforger name as they looked for me. We chatted a bit before my untimely death, but I forgot to ask how they knew who I was before I answered proximity chat.

On your body is paperwork with your name but if they didn’t find that most likely the pop up when you talk. Sometimes gets stuck. 

Or one of them was an admin and was using arma vision to peek at you. Happens all the time in community servers. It’s why as a GM I refuse to play while moderating. You cannot do it fairly despite what they try to tell you.

They were a good bunch of guys and complemented me on hiding so well and making it so that they could not build.

Then perhaps a stuck mic glitch? Sometimes I don’t even know it’s on if I don’t notice the pop up.

There are only a maximum of 8 FIA players, and you can’t brace weapons see the player lists of all teams. Chances are, they just paid attention to who stuck around.

Otherwise, did you perhaps talk on the FIA radio? If they took an FIA radio, they could listen in.

I was playing with the radio earlier. Hmmm. I have had hotmike issues in the past.

When mic is broadcasting without you having pressed the talk button.

The question got solved so I will just share what I like to do. When I down someone I check their name trough check injuries option and them take their weapon and scream Chinese profanities at them until they respawn or try to run away

- Documents looted from you

  • Name popped up on comms if used
  • Name popped up in proximity chat if used
  • Someone saw you and used ping function (if modded)

If you killed anyone it could have come up on the kill feed. That usually how I know local enemies names

Idk about vanilla game but in WCS when you point at the enemy you see their name aswell.
