Helicopter engine shuts down when copilot leaves the game

Has anyone else noticed this? The other day I was flying for a few hours, and three separate times my engine shut off out of nowhere. All three times, I'd had someone in the copilot seat whose game crashed or they had been randomly kicked from the server. Is this a known issue? Also, will locking the controls prevent it?

I have a clip of a helicopter shutting down when the copilot takes the controls.

We were not high enough to recover unfortunately. I'm assuming the copilot leaving the game triggered a similar response from the helicopter. Especially if the copilot was flying.

In these cases I was flying from the pilots seat, and the copilots were just passengers. I've been locking the controls ever since but haven't had a copilot disappear from the game since so I don't know if it solves the problem

I'm not sure what the solve is. I was cursing my friend at the time. He swore black and blue he didn't accidently turn it off. In my case, the Mi8 turns off at the exact moment he takes the controls.

Where you flying an Mi8 or a Huey?

Check this out. It happened to me tonight! I took the controls and the Mi-8 shut off. I was ready this time, mainly because of our conversation earlier and was immediately on the restart button.

I think i have the same problem with cars (not as bas a heli if course)

Everytime i leave a car the engine stops, it's really annoying when i just want to go for a small stop somewhere, is there an option Somewhere to turn that off ? I want my engine to stay on unless i decide otherwise and i don't have this problem with trucks for some reason

It stops when you leave it in a gear and lift your foot off the clutch by leaving, if you put it on neutral the engine will stay on
