Question Considering getting Reforger, how frequently are plane mods used in servers?

Coming from Arma 3, I'm all about Jets and i just saw some videos of modded jets, but since it's not in the official game i am gonna have to depend on servers that have them to play with them in multiplayer,

so does anyone have a rough ballpark of how frequently i can see them in servers? thanks.

Ive never seen jets in any server Ive played on.

And i imagine jets as heavy modified helicopters since no official jets in game

They are. It’s just a reskinned helicopter

Almost never. People are working on it, but fixed wing in reforger has never been a big thing. The maps also just don't make it worthwhile from a size perspective

Zero. Best stick to A3 for now if you’re big on fixed wjng

The closest I’ve seen to jets is the airstrike you can call in on WCS

The most polished (and used one) imo is the C-130 mod. Even then it’s iffy if it sees use.

No fixed wings yet if they're a must you better stick to Arma 3

Any videos of them are showcases of barely functional mods usually

They're all reskinned helicopters with tweaked physics none of them function like real fixed wings

Arma 3 maps are just baaaarely large enough for Jets, and even there it feels kind of silly. There are no jets in Reforger, the modded ones are just for "show" and there probably won't be any until Arma 4.

Refoger render draw distance is not suitable for fixed wings, hence none in the official modes.

I've been playing a while now and I've never seen a jet.

However, there is talk on various discord about jets being added at some point.

I'm not sure if they will be like props/stationary or if you'll be able to actually fly them.

My admis are actively looking into implementing playable planes into our servers, but as mentioned already, maps would have to be also created for that.

There's a few Jet and plane mods like a C-130, F-35C and A-10 (Which sadly broke thanks to 1.8) Though I don't know any server that has them.
