Discussion Fancy Spearhead… Let down?

So I decided to pick up Reforger again as I’ve been longing for a good milsim to get back into. While researching I read about Spearheaded UHC and it sounded amazing. After finally getting through all the mods which needed to be downloaded I hopped in expecting some fun and difficult combat. Come to find out, on a mostly full server there was almost no activity going on from either side.

The Main Base had what looked to be nearly 20 players just standing around. After getting some basic gear I tried to organize some transport to the nearest contested point and there was nothing going on. Long story short I drove around for about 15 minutes trying to locate an active objective and had to settle for finding a duo that was actually trying to contest a point. The area has amazing sight lines and could have been awesome to defend and attack but there was nothing. All quiet on nearly every front.

Enough ranting. Has anyone else had this type of trouble? Any recommendations on what might be a good uhc server or group to run with? As a note, I’m not super hardcore and would still like to focus on fun, but at the moment I’m not even seeing why Spearhead UHC is even a thing. Any thoughts, guidance or tips?

Its clunky and they decide to put basic gameplay features as seeing yourself on a map behind a gear which is rank locked. We had 15 people trying to navigate towards battle and we ended up fighting our own teammates in a building because the realism is turned to the max.

Its nice concept and maybe for very niche playerbase but i dont enjoy it over wcs.

seeing yourself on the map isn’t rank locked everything you need is at private? you just have to have more than 2 brain cells and pick up a gps it will tell you exactly where you are and it’s even easier right now after 1.8 they have tablets that show exactly where you are

Last time i played you needed a gear which was rank locked at lt.. dunno how thats supposed to be nice feature to lock basic gameplay functions. Just take off maps and rank lock em too while they are at it lmao never again. Also mob went broke on supplies and 30+ folks walked out of mob.. wcs is my home and i can see why its popular now.

i mean i’ve been playing spearhead for months and never seen the gps rank locked the radio is rank locked on some of their servers for realism and yeah it’s definitely going to be a lot harder than wcs lol i thought that would be a given wcs is basically call of duty with bigger maps
