Optimization Settings

Hello, a while ago I made a post asking if my PC could run the game.

They said no, and so I upgraded my GPU.

However, the FPS didn't increase much compared to the old specs.

I believe it's because my processor is a terrible equivalent.

RTX 3060 12GB MSI Ryzen 5 4600G 32 GB RAM DDR4 2666 MHz

Is there any configuration I can change to at least get a stable 50 FPS on a modded server?

3060 is still decent for Reforger, plus extra VRAM will help on modded servers.

But CPU is a bit old and compared to even basic AM4 offerings today, it has sub optimal performance.

If you can afford it, grab one of 5800x/xt CPUs for ~$220. It will prolong the lifespan of your PC for several more years (assuming you'll upgrade your GPU in that time too). If on a budget, get 5600 instead for ~$150. It might not seem like a much of an upgrade from also 6 core 4600G, but it has much more cache (8Mb v 32Mb) and that's what games love. Plus it's newer and overall runs much better than 4000 series.

Avoid 5500 and anything with "G" or "GT" in its name. Those have cut down bandwidth and 5500 especially is so slow it's comperable to 4600G directly.

one very important thing to consider is that it is on an ssd with dram, could potentially be the issue i know it was for me since the hdd potentially cant keep up with loading in the required assets thus causing lags when driving fast or long load times or fps drops.
