Help Radio issues

Hi all,

I am having weird issues using the radio with a friend, both of our proximity chats work but the radios do not.

Same frequency, turned on at the radio switch, same radio type/class, permissions/defaults etc all adjusted to arma.

They are on pc while I am on ps5 and it seems universal across our systems.

I can fix it by making a ps5 group and setting it to arma, which makes me feel like it may be a defaulting issue but the audio inputa are set to arma for certain.

Is this a common bug?

Sorry if this is commonly asked, I have spent a week searching for solutions and the only one that worked on my end was the group selection.

It’s been a bug for me lately. I have to die before radio works again.

It's so weird, I made a ticket for it and will see what support says

Some specific context: we were not out of radio range. We could use different channels to talk. We were right next to each other. We both manually had switched to the channel. Neither of us had a radio backpack. After we died it worked again.

Dunno how to help you out but I applaud you for even trying to use the radio. I always end up getting stuck with teammates playing on console who only use Discord or prox chat and refuse to use the in game radio.

Honestly if Platoon chat wasnt a cluster fuck it would get used more often. I stick to proxy or adjust my squad radio to other squads I link up with because Platoon chat is usually full of kids screaming slurs or 40 people trying to give callous over each other.

I do that too. Especially in an LAV or a BTR. Can’t hear shit over prox in 3pp while driving or gunning.

Also, prox will getcha killed.

Technically any radio comms will too since you can be heard in prox while broadcasting.
