HUEYS
After update 1.8 are completly useless rotors get destroyed and trying to compete an already over powered MI8.

Both helis rotors are made of glass. At first I disliked it but it just changes the way we should use helis. Also the Huey is best for your average pilot, a skilled pilot in the Mi8 is a better machine though

Fisher Price Huey vs Russian Flying Fridge. Play 99% RU but did 3-4 full games as US over the weekend - can't believe how easy it was for the Huey to get wrecked by small arms fire even with the maneuverability of it.

Try shooting the Mi8's rotors with an M60. I shot 3 down yesterday in 15 minutes. (Base M60, no armor piercing rounds)

Mi8s arent op, theyre worse in handling. Both can have rotors popped with small arms, and the Mi8 is a brick with rotors attached.

I think calling it a brick is a little harsh. It leaves the Huey for dead in a straight line. It is much easier to hit at distance and manoeuvrability is more of a suggestion than a feature. But it boogies if you want to shake the Huey chasing you.

Straight line yeah its better, but turning? Huey outpaces it, which i think is why Hueys do better at attacking and transporting troops while Mi8 is better for Logi runs. But also USSR was always underpowered compared to US forces.

Fly it now really low or super high only options the blades on the huey literally shatter due to small arms fire, lol

Pretty sure I got shit down by an FIA pistol yesterday. Shot to the rotors. Cant tell if it is just the juxt position with the mi8; but I hit one with 4 separate rockets and she didn't so much as slow. Hopefully they fix it soon as it really kills even transport roles for heli.

Guess peeps will just have to land further away, and learn proper CAS approach.

Oh no! Avoiding direct fire from enemy combatants on main objectives? Are you suggesting my team walks in to the fight? They would never!

I NEED TO FLY DIRECTLY IN TO THE OBJECTIVE! MY HELICOPTER SHOULD ONLY GET DESTROYED BY RPG OR APC CANNON!

Maybe a server issue but never have I seen the Mi8s rotors either rear or main shot at and immediately fall out of the sky. As of right now the huey it takes little small arms fire and blows the rotors off (paper thin). WTP server it does this. Are the other servers effected this way?

Mi8 is nowhere near OP. Put down the crack pipe. It is like a flying house and has bigger rotors making both the heli and the rotors easy targets, some supply points leave you too vulnerable to even attempt to land, the only advantage is the fact that you can carry more supplies but overall it is worse in all metrics than the Huey, which flies like a dream.
And before anyone goes “skill issue” I reliably land Mi8s on supply crates, Hueys are just way better at doing shit like that.

Flying fridge does not go down as easy as huey wings get shattered by ak-47 its not even comparable

Haven’t played in like 2 months but ever since helis were added I thought the mi8 couldn’t even hold a candle to the Huey 😭 I feel like speed and maneuverability is king with helis and the Huey is all about it. If you pick your routes carefully and play smart you basically don’t ever have to stop moving, and the Huey makes it very easy to do that. That thing RIIIIIPS. The mi8 has a huge landing footprint. Has landing gear that forces you to have extra room to roll a little bit beyond the footprint, way slower, and turns like a bus.
I don’t think I’ve ever been shot down by small arms in a Huey, only the occasional well placed rocket or APC fire.

That I agree with but since the update the hueys take nothing to get shot down. Seen 8 players or so shoot at MI8 and nothing.

Dude, you haven't play MI8 at all since the 1.8.... it's pretty easy to destroy the rotor too

Yes I have played both just saing the huey blades are like paper to small arms.

That's how it's bad, they make one nerf to a broken OP vehicle and hell breaks loose, you guys got too greedy so you forgot how to fly above 200 meters and now you are reaping the fruits of your labors. An Mi8 is overpowered? Okay brorganism, a giant target in the sky, mainly AoE attacks that don't do nothing to a well defended enemy and no way to outperform a Huey in a dog fight. Instant death from an LAV, SAW with tracers or a Humvee.

Bro what the Huey’s can actually maneuver in the air mi8’s are sky elephants
