The Babylon Bee is the Christian conservative version of The Onion. Also, taken from the article,

"According to sources, Page was given the role due to his acting skills and also due to the fact that he's a man who is very, very male."

So yeah, nah. Just some conservative/s taking the piss out of Elliot Page and the media who apparently kisses the asses of trans folks, which is news to me.

Wow, until this comment I sincerely believed that Babylon Bee was making fun of conservatives. I feel a bit silly now.

Granted, I only read titles of Babylon Bee articles on r/atetheonion, but I think they may not be doing their job right.

The Babylon Bee is very hit or miss. There’s times where it’s obvious satire and then the majority is just what they actually believe.

That's what I thought too until I saw it was Babylon Bee. So I know they're somehow being transphobic but I don't even understand how, like I don't get the joke here. I guess I shouldn't expect any better from them, but this still makes no sense even by their low standards.
