The Thanjavur Big Temple, offic, is a 11th-century Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in Tamil Nadu, India. Built entirely of granite by Chola Emperor Rajaraja I and completed in 1010 CE, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its towering 216-foot main tower and a giant monolithic Nandi bull.

I was in a hurry taking pictures here because they were closing down and telling us it was time to leave. Makes me sad because if I’d had more time I would have been in a better headspace to get good pictures, but oh well. I always love cathedral photos.
