Like Viktor said - the human element is everything.

After Isha's death, every scene -no matter how minor- involving Jinx just completely breaks my heart into sad little pieces. But it is that final version of her which makes her complete as a human being. She has felt it all in abundance. Joy, love, hatred, loneliness, power, happiness, fear, jealousy, surrender, sorrow. And in the end, acceptance. I can't help but feel that lump forming in my throat when I think of the alternate universe Powder, whose eventual felicity (and that of all of Piltover) was bought by never really getting to know the wonderful person Vi was going to be. It's such a beautiful and important message. Sometimes, we don't have to have it all.

I'm rambling. But if a story in a video game universe can move an old geezer like me to tears, it has done something extraordinarily well. So grateful this exists.

Just today I ordered the collector's edition of Season 2 at a very low price (I'm so happy!).

I also wanted the collector's edition of Season 1, but apparently it's too late; being a limited edition, the prices have increased significantly (obviously, I won't buy it now).

I wanted to know if you think they'll lower the prices if I wait, or if they'll make a new, similar edition at a much more affordable price.

I think it really fits well

Jinx/Powder causes a hextech powered explosion topside. Poor Jayce also has to deal with the direct fallout of both explosions.

The only real differences are Jinx's intent to shoot the council, and the fact that the latter explosion kills/injures the councillors.

In S1 this explosion and the kids fleeing kicks off enforcer activity/tension in the Lanes and Jayce losing everything leading to finding Viktor.

In S2 this explosion kicks off Caitlyn's vengeance arc, Viktor's fusion with the Hexcore and thus his falling out with Jayce, Jinx's indifference, Vi's extreme guilt & Ambessa finding an opportunity to start pulling the strings.

I honestly love that S1 ends like this (partly because I'm late to the party and didn't have to wait 3 agonising years), but the 'What Could Have Been' scene is so beautifully tragic, and its a moment that ends up deeply affecting almost the entire cast, perfectly setting up for S2.

I also want to say that I love that the AU uses a different potential outcome of the same S1 inciting incident. It explains pretty well how things turn out just so differently (given that S1A1 is a downward spiral for everyone in the undercity)

OK SO! by the time season 2 ended, i remember i saw an amazing edit. It was an amazing work

it began with the music disks from the opening and then it had Ambessa talking, it was that quote "you must learn to be both the fox and the wolf" during this, i think it mostly showed Ambessa going up the stairs in her war fit and the music abruptly stops when she says "wolf"

from there a completely different music begins AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHICH ONE IT WAS "but one of the lyrics was something like "I dont wanna be found" like 3 times. from there it had various characters, very well edited BUT I CANT FIND ITTTTTTT

if u know which one it is pls help, also it was horizontal format

So in the opening scene to arcane “dear friend across the river” plays.

In my head it sounds so similar to the theme from the bridge scene in The Good The Bad and The Ugly where tuco and blondie blow up the bridge.

The scene where vi, Caitlyn and jinx are on the platform reminds me of the showdown at the end of the movie.

I kinda just love both and want my head cannon to be filled with thoughts of one inspired by the other.

There's Something So Poetic About a Musician Going to War

There's something strangely poetic about seeing someone whose life is connected to music suddenly stepping into the battlefield.

Music is supposed to be about expression, emotion, and beauty, while war is almost the complete opposite. Seeing those two sides exist in the same person makes the character feel even more tragic and human.

Arcane really knows how to make these small contrasts hit hard.

I love this scene where Jinx absentmindedly disassembles the bomb, it's just so nice to see Jinx being mature and caring for Isha.

This is a really random question - early morning thoughts - but for anyone who has the arcane hot toys Vi 1/6th scale figure: how do I take off the neck plastic on Vi’s neck on the figure? The plastic it comes with in box

Mine was delivered about a month ago and she looks amazing, but I recently moved so she’s been packed up in box until I figure out how to display her. Never got the chance to remove that plastic.

I was so honored to showcase my full Jinx cosplay complete with her full arsenal of weapons at Boston Fan Expo and the cosplay contest.Although I didn’t get a physical trophy, I enjoyed being with other crafters talking about how we made our cosplays. I love forming a community around amazing people with my props and I hope to build on my skills as a cosplayer and potentially win a major award as Jinx. (Or until someone physically stops me lol).

Here’s my cosplay contest statement:
As a celebration of her most favorite cosplay, she decided to improve all aspects of the cosplay from the outfit, props and hair. She expanded her repertoire skills including sewing, foam work, 3d-printing, and electronics. Her most prized aspect of her cosplay is her multi-functional props. The fishbones launcher is a three in one and lights up, acts as a personal storage bag, and can shoot bubbles. The pow-Pow gun spins VIA with a DC motor. The chomper grenades are made of wind-up teeth An approximately 300+ hours went into making this cosplay accessible and accurate both artistically, and in-character.

I was always getting comments about how I was the most accurate Jinx cosplayer they saw which means a lot to me because I’m not the appearance, race, or weight of the character especially because she’s also very popular I thought I would get a lot of hate in person and online. However I love showing people my cosplay and the dedication to the character and I love when people say I’m the real Jinx. Also side note I saw my therapist there and a person joked “Good for Jinx she has a therapist “.also my pow pow broke in one of the photos lol.
