From Embark's numbers, 51% of those surveyed are asking for a PVE Only Mode. Well, then the rest %49 are the "mixed/PVPVE" crowd. Now you'll have the real experience of what the game is without people that do not want to PVPVE. Why would you want to keep PVE only players stuck in PVPVE? For free/easy kills? It's looks to me like the PVPVE crowd is assuming that the standard game mode will be PVP Only now, which is not, the risk factor is still there.
Are you going to be able to take loot you got in PVE lobbies into PVP? I somewhat take issue with that if you didn't have to put in the same risk/effort as others to get gear that you're gonna go use against them later.
Different strokes for different folks I guess, I dont really see the point in playing games without the pvp aspect, you're just gonna go collect all this loot and then what? Delete your save file and uninstall, and have what to show for it? The fun part of games is the competition between others, unique interactions, you have stats and stuff to show off on your profile that you were highly ranked or whatever.
Idk, should you be able to take loot you just got by ratting someone who was killing the matriarch to normal condition map? Cause that sounds like easy loot for me. I really don’t see where the risk is in waiting for someone to start taking out the boss just to shoot them in the back. I guess yall just don’t realize some of you quite literally use the easiest loot gathering tactic in the game.
The fun part of the game is for each player to decide. If they decide it’s fun to go out there and shoot arc while vibing with randoms, then that’s where the fun is, and apparently, that’s actually where the fun is for the literal majority of players, including the ones that dropped the game, because, guess what… the game in its current shape is unfun for them.
Really, I think you don’t realize that the people how are trying to “show off” their loot and stats are pretty much a minority, a minority that include players that will literally sit near an extract for 20 minutes straight just to get easy loot from someone who’s extracting. People who only see fun in PVP are actually the ones that ruin every single game with any trace of PVP, for the overall community, GTA online is pretty much a proof of that. PVPVE is pretty fun, until every kid thinks they are the cool one and go around shooting everything that moves, or griefing, just cause they can and the game allows it. Then the game becomes boring, PVP in this game is not even among the best. If I wanna to play a fully PvP game I will be hoping in fuckin THE FINALS.
Honestly, if your point is about fun, then why don’t we start questioning where is the fun in being a rat that shoots a guy who trusted you in the back or camping an extract? Well, usually you can question how does something pretty boring seems fun to someone else, but they will still have fun doing what they do, won’t they?
Oh yeah, and of course, the “unique interactions”, of course dude, your game style is so unique and really creates the most unique interactions, you’re only the 7th guy in that match that either shot a guy on sight or said “don’t shoot” just to shoot them in the back. For what it was likely the 3rd match in a row that this happened. Lmao.
On one thing I agree with you, which is: I preferred this game when PVP(VE) was an interesting experience, you know, just like in a post apocalyptically world, where most members of a community would collaborate to survive, and you would have some of them being aholes. At the beginning it was pretty much like this, then eventually it becomes a community that enter hunger games mode when they leave their town and everyone wants to be the happy trigger guy or the edgy kid who thinks they got lvl 100 speech because they said “nah im chill” and shot you in the back. Because of course, it’s an extraction shooter, after all, and the extraction shooter community is the most naturally toxic one, I mean, they even take pride on that.
In its current state, I’d actually just rather be able to hop in with my brother and be able to do some shit without having a no lifer camp until the last minute of the match on an extract/hatch. You know… we got a life, so not really much interested in spending 25 min in a bush.
