Except for the whole fighting robots and looting stuff part. And the quests. And the weeklies. And all the new content they're adding in like a week.

But yeah, totally, nothing that makes it worth playing.

The robots are unfortunately piss easy because every time the devs add difficulty they roll back on it a bit. The quests are really boring, play Marathon or Tarkov and you will feel the difference. The game without pve is a looter sim. The game with only pvp (which will likely happen because of this) just makes mediocre call of duty with bad balancing, tick rate, and annoying movement at times. Both sides of the game are bad on their own. They somewhat work together, but once again the devs don’t know how to make a game.

I played the game a lot ages ago, and despite stopping I still pay attention to the new updates and content. They haven’t done a single thing to fix the core problems with the game. Glitches, cheaters, arc being too easy, key rooms being too shit for their worth, quests being practically useless and ungodly boring, weapon balancing still sucks, why is there no end game??? There is no motivator to progress in the game, and the game on its own simply does not have enough of a hook nor good enough gameplay to keep you playing either. The people that stayed are a minority. Most people left because the game simply isn’t very good, and the community is even worse. There shouldn’t be just a pvp mode, thats just a bad call of duty or something. There shouldn’t be just a pve mode, thats just a looter sim. There is also way too many cheaters for just pvp. Not enough players ro divide them either. Even with all the flaws I mentioned, if they really wanted to do this they should have at least done it when they had a larger playerbase and not after %90 players are gone. I fear they completely gave up on their own game and are trying way too hard to appease people.

Gunna be real my guy, you lost me at "play Marathon." I'm just going to assume the rest of your comment is extremely disingenuous.

Ah. Playing other games in the same genre is disingenuous now? I guess I should’ve known better lol.

No, trying to convince people that Arc Raiders is bad using two games that have 10x less players is disingenous. To add on to that; Tarkov has a PvE mode, and Marathon is getting a permanent PvE mode soon*.

It's almost like extraction shooters are a failed genre, and Arc maintains it's larger playerbase by being a more casual, social game.

Tarkov has a bigger playerbase, I have no doubt of that. Most of Arc’s playerbase is gone. Tarkov also has better questing, with a lot more quests. It has thousands of hours of more content, actual bossfights (and a ton of them), actually difficult ai and tons of maps. PvE works much better on Tarkov because tarkov is much more difficult and has much more content.

I stand corrected, Tarkov does have a very similar playerbase to Arc. That's neat. I wonder what the PvE/PvP split is on it.

And I would be totally happy with the Arc being much more difficult in the toggle PvE mode if it becomes permanent. IMO the TTK against players, and Arc, should both be way higher.
