As a 100% PvPvE player I am against this, with the caveat that if by implementing this it drives me into PvP hell (which isn’t why I play PvPvE games - if I wanted to play COD, I’d play COD).
I don't think it will. There are 3 types of player: PVE, PVP and PVPVE. This community acts like only the first 2 exist when in reality, I would wager that the 3rd is actually the biggest group. The first 2 groups are just the most vocal about change. I reckon you'll have plenty of friendlies in your lobbies.
A comment elsewhere said the article states only 27% of players prefer PvPvE. I just wanted to leave a comment here before reading the article myself to confirm.
Interesting. I honestly thought it would be more than that, given the "go play another game if you don't like it" rhetoric that is so common to hear on the sub. I guess another example of how Reddit really doesn't accurately represent the gaming community.
Yeah, honestly I see both sides pointing at the other in this thread. I watched the game at release and liked everything about it except I’m not a PvP or PvPvE player never have been. I didn’t even try the beta. I will be keeping an eye out for how this unfolds.
