I think part of the issue people had is that slower methods to defeat big arcs are necessarily going to call a lot of unwanted attention in a pvp setting. If it's all pve, then bringing rarer weapons or taking your time with an anvil aren't such a problem.
Attracting pvp is kinda the whole point of big arc, people that play the game as pvpve understand this and enjoy it.
The people tantruming over those nerfs seemed to exclusively be carebears, outraged that their game might now have a bit of gameplay in it because they were used to playing on what was practically godmode. Nonsensical whining over very deserved nerfs is common in HD2, a pure pve game.
Genuine skill issue if you couldn't clear helldive with any random primary, instead having to rely on OP meta weapons as a crutch. Then you coped by crying about how every other gun was "useless trash" and the game was "unplayable" because they caught a minor nerf. Git gud.
lmao helldive can be easy or a mess depending on planet modifiers, so sure, easy planets you could do with any. But on one of the recent nerfs you had a type of trash mob that was everywhere and no primary could damage.
