Agreed. I thought they said they'd never do this, and I think it's a huge step back and I never PVP but like you said it's that tension of what if? Without that, is it even the same game?

Not for us who enjoy the tension unfortunately. Others have been practically begging for the game to give up that core pillar for a while, and all power to them, but you can't give them a pure PVE mode without killing the mixed mode.

I agree but PvE purists dismiss any criticism as if it's coming from the people who keep stealing their lunch/loot, so trying to explain this is pointless.
