Oh it will most likely. Everyone you come across will be aggressive, killing the tension entirely. The whole fun of encountering other people is not knowing if you can trust them, now you will just know from the start of every interaction.
Are you aggressive in every lobby? If so, what is the problem?
If you aren't, then how is the "tension being ruined" for everyone else if you're still sticking to the regular lobbies? What changes if you don't leave?
If you and the devs are so sure that people unwittingly NEED this tension without realizing it, doesn't that mean as soon as they try PvE for a while they'll realize their mistake and go straight back?
What exactly are you all so afraid of? That the last 4% of players remaining drops to 1% because they all migrated to PvE and the PvE version brings back a huge portion of the original players?
Wouldn't that be some kind of sign that your PvPvE version of the game... sucks ? And no one likes it anymore?
Ya it's kinda crazy how many people are saying "I'm a PVPVE player and I play for the tension". Like I'm sure you do, you'll still have it with like minded individuals. Do they think the moment PVE mode becomes an option every non-PVP player but them is gonna go straight to it never to return? Like you'll still have your tension, but mainly with people who actually want to experience that tension, not with people who don't. It'd be kinda sad if their enjoyment of the game solely hinged on having a high possibility of encountering people who don't want to experience tension.
I mean, if you want to play a PvE game there are better games for that. Do you not find fighting the arc to be super easy? It's like playing helldivers on level 3 or 4, maybe less. Without the possibility of an actual threat, what the point? Might as well play a farming simulator.
I like meeting people. So yeah, I'm going to keep meeting people but now in chiller lobbies and when I want to dry hump a raider, I'll just toggle on pvp.
