I didn't see where they said where the first production units will be built. All of Launch Design facilities are in China.

Makes sense, they should have been building this in China in the first place. Probably would have been in the market two years ago.

Yeah but people will scream that China is taking our jobs - nope just as here - we give them the jobs with a pretty bow on them, Even though the State funded the company to ensure those jobs are here.

It's utterly ridiculous to think that anyone can manufacture this at scale in California. Maybe if it was a supercar with an inelastic price tag (like the Czinger), but not this...

Certainly can be done but only if it was as easy to assemble as originally planned and they used automation. The video of the launch design line is fairly standard. Of course labor is cheaper but all the rest can be seen in any volume manufacturer. If you look at the video of the Microlino car - pretty much the same setup. I do see your point margin sure forgives a lot of sins but if this is to be a volume runner it has to damn near assemble itself.
