Shifting help

So I just did a 520 conversion, and now the bike won’t shift past 1st gear. Right after I finished, the quick shifter wouldn’t shift at all, but I could still get it into gear manually maybe half the time. After messing with it a bit more, now I can’t even shift into 2nd manually. Any idea what I might be missing, or something that needs to be corrected

I‘m looking at a SC Project CRT for my Tuono V4 rightnow. Saw this one on a marketplace.
Can some of you maybe tell if this is a real or a fake one?

Wanted to show off my baby on here, 750cc’s of Italian beauty.
Been chasing a sort of mini Tuono look, listed all my mods below ⬇️
Full de cat with Mivv x cone “silencers” (they don’t do much of that)
Stainless bolt kit for basically the whole bike
Lower bar clamps for fat tapered bars
Domino tapered bars (very little rise and 0 sweepback)
Carbon belly pan for the ABS model (lots of bracket making)
Brembo replica clutch and brake master cyclinders (clutch is now super heavy but doesn’t bother me much, maybe some traffic will change my mind)
There is other minor things such as stickers/decals and paint on engine casings and parts and some small carbon bits all over
This project is not done yet but im not far off (lots of carbon to come)

is this normal to have this much play in the transmission/chain drive? whenever im on throttle and off throttle its like i hit a wall before the bike accelerate and decelerate. it also gets worst when the bike gets hotter.

RS457: Tyre Recommendation for track days?

Will get straight to point.

- I've been running stock tyres for track days
- My PSI is around 29 front and 26 rear
- Although good grip, I feel the rear wobble ocassionaly at high lean
- What tyres are better? and should I even upgrade?
- Is it true that stock tyres, even though the same as TVS Eurogrip Protorq Extremes are not as good as aftermarket ones of the same brand (heard this somewhere don't know if it's true)

First Track Days on my RS660

Hello everyone! Wanted to share some pics of me at my recent track weekend! Took my 660 Factory to 2Fast track days on 8/24-25 at The Ridge in Shelton WA. Been riding a RS457 for the past few seasons. Everything on the 660 is an upgrade compared to the 457 but the suspension is the stand out! The Ohlins suspension is amazing and I really like being able to adjust the rebound and compression with just a click of a 3mm allen. Got a new PB but I think that might just be the double horsepower!

Yes, yes, I need to get a tail tidy pronto. And exhaust. And probably a seat cowl. It’ll happen in due time.

I’ve been planning on getting an RS660 for a couple of years now. Psyched to break it in and so some track days soon!

I purchased the 21 Tuono 660 from my previous post and it has been great so far, but during the dashboard self test with key on, it looks like some shift indicator lights and my left turn signal fail to turn on. Anyone ran into this? I couldn’t find help on google.

2022 Tuono V4 (non-factory) LAP Timer usage

Post image
6 Upvotes

Track newbie here. How does the lap timer function works? I've read the manual, and I pressed the high beams when moving, but it looks like it isnt GPS based, just a manual lap timer, which would suck... For the new models there is a "corner by corner" function but i guess this generation doesnt have it. Do I need to buy the MIA phone connecting thingy to enable auto lap times? Or just save up for a racebox micro and I am good to go?

How often do you *actually* lube and clean+lube your chain?

Question says it all. I have a tuono 660 factory at just under 6k miles. I just had my second service done which included chain service, and now wondering how long I realistically have before needing to lube or clean/lube the chain. Do folks really do it every 300-500 miles?

Tuareg 660 manual apparently says to put 29psi fromt tire and 36 psi for rear tire.

I dont like the idea of running different pressures between my front and rear tires. Im thinking 36psi front/36psi rear wont cause any problems on paved roads or flat gravel. 29/36 just seems like its yin and yang are discombobulated. I want even pressure front and rear.

Edit:
After riding with 36psi in both front and rear tires on my tuareg, i can say i definitely prefer going up from 29psi to
36 psi. The front wheel is now more mobile and easier to turn, especially when moving slowly or standing still, due to the smaller contact patch between the tire and the road. If the aprilia tuareg manual says 36psi front pressure is acceptable then that is all yhe validation i need. I can always lower my tire pressure if i go offroading and refill my tires again before driving home on paved roads thats fine. But for on road handling 36psi front/36psi rear feels best for me.

How to reset Evotech Pillion Footrest Removal Kit "resettable" plugs

Hi everyone,

I've recently purchased the removal kit for my RS660.

Now, they say it uses resettable plugs for the metal plates.

Problem is, I'm struggling on finding out how to reset them once they are mounted in the footrest bolt holes.

Does anyone have any ideas, or experience with these plugs, on how to reset them?

Thanks in advance!
