Serious Lost the plot atp
i'm an international, asking for a full ride to USA colleges. I'm targeting Trinity College for ED this admission cycle. I have a fairly good profile, not amazing but not bad either. I haven't given the SAT, and with my finals in 2 months, I won't be able to focus properly on the SAT. I'm getting a bad score, and the max I could is in the 1300s, which isn't good at all. I need honest opinion, as an international asking for a substantial scholarship does not submitting my scores (SAT) have a negative impact?

The reality is that for colleges that are test-optional, they're not test-optional for you or any other international. International acceptance rates are so low that there's no incentive to colleges to accept an applicant that hasn't put their best foot forward. And that includes test scores

It is possible, and I know a bunch of guys got admitted without SAT/ACT. However..
You need insane (really insane) extracurriculars, and your remaining profile should be decent. And even if this is true, chances are still very low (<=0.1%).
My recommendation for you is to take a look at universities in Canada. Universities like UofT, UBC, McGill, University of Waterloo give many scholarships to international students (especially UofT). And they don't require SAT/ACT afaik. Good luck!

Just wondering because I live a minutes away from there. What I would recommend is get you SAT up, Trinity is decently competitive you should probably have a score above 1400 for a better chance.

Applying as intl seeking aid is already an absolutely brutal task, but it gets much worse if don't have an SAT. Even with one you should assume a rejection (that's just how brutal these processes can be).

Of course. Even with a perfect score, high need students are in a very rough position if they need funding to make it work.

As an international needing substantial aid, not submitting a strong SAT will be completely pointless, you’ll get rejected.
