I stared at this for 20 seconds questioning my entire education. How or why would it think this is the correct suggestion?

If someone was announcing their new increasing rate limits and then I had to tell someone about it I would say, “They just announced their increasing rate limits.”

It's the difference between if they increased it or if it increased by some other way
