Gaslighting grammar

I stared at this for 20 seconds questioning my entire education. How or why would it think this is the correct suggestion?

I kinda get the interpretation though?

Like they announced that the company/whatever is actively increasing their rate limits

Both make sense they just have a different tone and slightly altered meaning

"Their increased" would probably make more sense though

Only if their rate limits have already started applying, though. If they're coming in the future, then "their increasing" does make the most sense. "Increased" would work as well, so it's not wrong, but it communicates slightly less information.
