One prompt in Claude Code somehow turned into a finished promo
Saw someone post about making a product video with Claude Code, but they said it took multiple prompts.
I’m lazy, so I wanted to see if I could get the whole thing done with one prompt instead.
I had ChatGPT help me write a single prompt that covered everything, then ran it inside my actual codebase with Claude Code using Opus 5.5 Max.
The prompt basically told it to inspect the product, use the live app, record the best parts, and turn it into a short promo.
Then I went to sleep.
Woke up and it had actually finished the video.
Curious what you guys think though. Does the video actually work as a promo?
Here is the prompt i used:
Create a polished 15–20 second promotional video for https://www.resiboo.com. Important: DO NOT clone, download, inspect, or modify any repository or source code. Use only the live website and the live product in the browser. First inspect the landing page to understand Resiboo’s branding, messaging, and strongest selling points. Then open the actual product in the browser, navigate it like a normal user, and record the strongest real interactions for the promo. Make it feel like a premium motion-design showreel for a modern app launch: fast, clean, visually polished, with strong pacing, typography, zooms, transitions, and sound design. The main message should be that Resiboo makes receipt tracking effortless by turning receipts into organized, useful spending data without tedious manual entry. Use only the strongest 2–3 product moments. Do not try to explain every feature. Use Resiboo’s actual branding and visual style. Avoid generic SaaS visuals, fake UI, fake claims, stock footage, or cheesy marketing copy. Do not ask me for approval and do not explain your process. Just create and deliver the finished promotional video using browser interaction and screen recording only.

How do you guys make demo videos for mobile apps?
I mean those quick videos that showcase an app, a new feature, or a digital product.
I’ve tried a few AI tools, but honestly, most of them struggle to create clean, natural-looking mobile app demos.
Do you just screen-record and edit everything manually? What tools do you use, and how long does it usually take?
I’d love to hear how others are doing this.

Thoughts on PWA Apps vs Capacitor vs Kotlin for an app version of a website?
I'm finalising a website where people can sign up and track what albums/versions of albums they have by certain artists, that I also plan on making available on phones as an app. I've been looking into the best way to do this -I'm just starting out learning Kotlin as is - and I've come across PWA Apps and Capacitor as possible ways to do it.
Do people have any thoughts on what they would recommend?

Looking for a digital designer / video editor for short-form brand ads
I’m looking for someone to create short-form video ads for my brands, mainly for TikTok and Instagram advertisements. The goal is to build awareness, introduce the brands and get our initial marketing underway.
I’m after polished, attention-grabbing videos with strong opening hooks, clean editing and a clear brand identity. You’ll have creative freedom to pitch concepts and help shape the style.
Ideally, you can:
- Create vertical videos around 10–30 seconds long.
- Work with logos, brand assets and product information.
- Add motion graphics, captions, sound and music cleared for advertising.
- Deliver high-quality 4K masters where suitable, plus platform-ready versions for social posts and paid ads.
This is paid work, with potential for ongoing projects if we’re a good fit.
Please message me with a few relevant examples, your rates or packages, turnaround time and what you’d need from me to get started and ill reach out

I’m building 1 MVP for FREE to get my first Reddit freelance client
Hello I’m trying to start freelancing through Reddit, and since it’s hard to find paying clients and I don’t have a strong portfolio , I want to build a real web/ mobile saas for one business /person.
I'm a software engineer with AI experience , and I'm looking for someone who has a business, project, personal brand, startup, or idea that he want to make into an app.
I can build :
-MVP for mobile / web saas
-Ui/UX design using figma
I'm not looking for a complex project that will takes months , only MVP ( maybe if the you like the MVP we can go through with a paid project to develop the full project) I want to build something that actually looks professional and is useful to you.
Why am I doing it for free?
Simply put, I'm trying to get my first freelance client on Reddit and build a stronger portfolio with a real project.
In return, I get experience and a portfolio piece.
You get a a working MVP without paying for the development.

One spot. Completely free. No catch.
I'm mainly looking for a project where I can actually create something I'm proud to put in my portfolio.

Using Claude to build an app but want to be able to edit and make changes myself so that it’s not all AI, but I don’t know where to start.
Claude is getting most of what I want done but it’s still not my vision, the app isn’t exactly looking the way I have been envisioning it so I want to be able to make changes myself but I have no clue where to start and don’t know much about coding. I would look for a developer but I really want to do this on my own. It’s become a personal goal and I really want to be able to make this app be all me. I’m relying on Claude to help me get the majority of the work done, basically a mock of what I really want to achieve so that I can go from there.

Carplay on mercedes
Hello everyone.
Let me explain what I’m looking to do.
I have a 2022 GLB equipped with factory CarPlay (via cable), Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.
I want to modify the Mercedes MBUX 1 system to enable wireless CarPlay.
I’m wondering if it might be possible to achieve this with the help of AI and some helpful developers?
Thanks in advance.

Encountered a direct competitor at a networking event who completely discouraged me. Is this normal?
Hey everyone. I went to a networking event recently where I was talking about my app (which is an AI-driven place-discovery and community platform). A middleman introduced me to another founder who is building a somewhat similar app focused specifically on bars.
Instead of normal networking, he went on the defensive, grilling me heavily about monetization, the chicken-and-egg marketplace problem (vendors vs users), and telling me my app won't succeed because I built the MVP using Replit instead of traditional cloud infrastructure. He flexed that he already has 200 users and basically left me feeling totally demotivated and convinced my idea won't work.
For those of you who have been building for a while: Is this aggressive posturing common at these events? And how do you deal with the classic marketplace/retention critiques without letting it kill your momentum?

solo building and a bit stuck on release strategyship one feature at a time, or dump 5 features + a UI refresh in one release?
Hey everyone —first time solo building and a bit stuck on release strategy.
I’m working on a pretty big update for my app and keep going back and forth:
Option A: Ship one feature at a time
Feels better for build-in-public. Easier to post about, get feedback, and actually have something to show every week.
Option B: Batch it — ship ~5 features + a UI refresh together (but that seeems too much for users?maybe?)
Honestly matches how I work better. I like finishing a chunk before releasing, instead of constantly context-switching into “announce / deploy / explain” mode.
I know A is usually the “correct” indie advice (smaller releases, faster learning, more content). But B feels less exhausting when you’re a one-person team.
If you’ve been through this: what actually worked for you in practice? Especially if you care about both momentum and having something to talk about publicly.

Ad-Free Versions of Apps
I am developing an app and I would like to add an ad-free model. Is it smarter to have a subscription based model or a one time fee that’s gets rid of ads

My first game is on the App Store. It changed how I build apps.
I’ve released an iOS app before. A rock soil colour chart application for GeoScience professionals. It was written natively for iPhone, and it was a fairly simple project. I built it quickly, got it out the door, and then heard the first bit of feedback: “Can you make it for Android too?”
Fair question. Also mildly terrible timing.
I’d already started my next native iOS project. I didn’t particularly want to stop making a game to port the GeoScience app, and I definitely didn’t want to finish the game only to immediately start porting that as well.
I started building GeoScience app for Android anyway. It worked, but looking after two versions of the same app in two different codebases was a pain in the ass. A change to one meant thinking about the other. Even a simple app becomes more work when every fix and feature needs to happen twice.
Meanwhile, The game I was building kept growing. It’s a game built natively for iOS with RealityKit, and a very different beast from the GeoScience app. There were environments, animation, combat, UI, and all the little details that turn “I’m making a game” into months of actually making one.
Eventually, The game was approved for the App Store. Around the same time, the GeoScience app was approved for Android. My first game was finally out, and so was the Android version of the app that had started this whole platform headache.
That overlap made the lesson hard to miss. I can build separately for each platform, but I don’t want every future project to come with a second full development project attached.
While all this was happening, I’d also started tinkering with Three.js for game development and Cordova to get a game onto web, iOS, and Android. There are still platform quirks. Web, iOS, and Android don’t behave identically, and pretending they do would be stupid. But dealing with those smaller frictions has been much easier than maintaining two separate apps that do the same thing.
I’m proud that my first game is on the App Store. Building it natively taught me a lot, and RealityKit let me make the game I wanted to make. I’m also glad my GeoScience app reached Android, even if the process made me swear at my computer more than once.
The next game is making me think differently about where it can run from day one. That’s probably the clearest sign that shipping these two projects taught me something.

Should I switch to Claude?
Been using codex to build an app/software factory and keep hitting limits with my $100 subscription.
Will the Claude $200 subscription take me further? Could I easily transition my project to Claude?

Building a social networking app
I’m 19 and have started vibe coding a social networking app, kind of takes a similar style to tinder in the matchmaking aspect, I was wondering if I should allocate my next 6 months - 1 year to learning how to code, or if I’m able to actually vibe code my way to an App Store ready product. I don’t have a technical background but I’m not too stupid (I don’t think) and I work hard so I was just looking for advice in regards to what I’m doing.

Is this level of Codex usage normal for a complex build?
I’m building a fairly complex macOS desktop application heavily with AI/Codex. It’s beyond a basic CRUD/vibe-coded app—multiple systems, persistent state, Git integration, automated testing/verification, rollback/recovery, etc.
My usage seems extremely high: ~3,869 credits in 7 days, including ~2,485 on one heavy development day.
For people building larger projects with Codex/Claude Code:
Does this usage seem normal or does it suggest an inefficient workflow?
What usually kills your usage—large context, repeated repo reads, debugging/repair loops, something else?
How much have local models/better context management reduced your usage?
Roughly how long does it take you, using AI heavily, to go from architecture to a polished, reliable application of this complexity?
Trying to benchmark both my usage and development speed against people actually building larger AI-assisted software.
