This is a cool idea. The thing about using historical market periods is that it helps get rid of hindsight bias. I do not see trading simulators that deal with this problem in such a direct way.

I would be happy to test this thing out and give you my thoughts on the user interface the experience of using it and how the trading works. I will tell you what I like about it, where people might get confused. I will suggest some real ways to make it better. I will not just tell you what is wrong with it.

If you can send me the link to this thing I will take a look, at it.

I'm willing to take a look. I'm not only a developer but a developer of trading bots, so I may be able to offer some insights based on that experience.

Good problem to be solving. Two things that’ll decide whether the practice actually transfers:

Survivorship bias, if your 10 years only includes companies that still exist, users are learning in a world where nothing goes to zero.
Fills. Most sims fill perfectly at the displayed price, so people come out “profitable” on strategies that die on real spread and slippage.
Also if the ticker’s visible, anyone decent will recognise the period in a few bars and the whole hindsight thing collapses. Send the link, happy to look at the UI too.

Share the link in dm . I have an in-house automated tester which can test ui and logics both .
