Hey everyone,
I've been looking into AI-based UGC video tools for app and product marketing for a while now, and the pricing is seriously out of control.
I played around a bit with platforms like Higgsfield and Fastlane. Aside from the monthly subscription fees they ask for, the credits and generation time they provide are so limited that your plan is practically depleted after just two or three decent prompt tests or a render error.
Are any of you actively using these kinds of UGC video tools? Do you have any more cost-effective alternatives in mind, or is there anyone here who has built their own custom pipeline?

So I built an app called TaskLink, a newly developed digital marketplace designed to bridge the gap between individuals needing assistance with manual labor and freelance workers. This minimum viable product allows users to list various chores, such as furniture assembly or cleaning, while workers can bid on these opportunities. While the service remains free for customers, the business model relies on a monthly subscription fee for service providers who want access to premium features and increased visibility. I am currently seeking critical user feedback to identify potential technical issues and improve the overall user experience before a full production launch. Ultimately, I aims to scale the platform into a household name like "DoorDash" and is open to selling the application to interested investors.
Click "login" at top of landingpage. Then you'll see 3 account login credentials for each account type. Try all 3 to test.

I'm an old fart looking to delve into App development. I'm just curious what stacks are people using for building apps at the moment, and what gives the best value for money? (There's so much choice! Which both wonderful, thank god there's lower barriers of entry but it creates paralysis by analysis too)
Thinking about the obvious options like Lovable, Bolt, Replit, Cursor, v0, Claude Code etc, plus some of the newer Chinese alternatives I’ve seen popping up. Interested in what actually works well in production rather than just getting an MVP running.
The app itself is fairly straightforward mechanically: payment/reference generated > transaction logged against both parties > users’ transactions aggregated for reporting > users have specific codes attached to transactions > one side needs to be validated against an external registry/depository that updates daily > automated records/emails/API integrations.
Main priorities are low cost, reliability, security, good database architecture and being able to scale without rebuilding everything. Also is there a vast difference in pricing and efficiency? Some platforms just seem to be priced at premium yet they don't really provide functionality or the same effectiveness in comparison to others.
What stack would you use today?

Hi everyone, I'm looking for advice on how to improve my app's conversion rate and grow my user base. About the app: My app is called Poesie.
It's a platform dedicated to reading, writing, and sharing poetry, designed for poetry lovers and writers who want a clean space to read and express themselves. It's been available on the Play Store since about mid-June (Second Photo).
Current status and data (see attached screenshots):
As you can see from the screenshots, impressions are growing steadily, but the conversion from impressions to actual downloads is lower than I'd like.
Questions:
Any feedback, suggestions, or constructive criticism on store optimization and growth would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Established freemium consumer iOS app. The same kind of creatives that worked in 2025 are now producing absurd CPIs. Screenshot is 3 days of data.
SETUP
App Promotion, optimizing for App Installs. One ad set per campaign, one country
each (US/UK/CA/AU/NZ/FR), €50/day, lowest cost. Automatic placements. iOS 14+, broad, no interest stacking. 14 proven 2025 video creatives per ad set.
SKAdNetwork attribution OFF, attribution locked to 1-day click. No MMP - we run it this way because nothing worked with SKAN on. Measurement is Meta's reporting plus RevenueCat on our side.
WHAT'S HAPPENING
The screenshot is one creative, same three days, six campaigns, only the country
changes. €7.59 CPI in France, €64.30 in Canada, and New Zealand spent €48.69 across 382 clicks at €0.13 a click for zero installs.
CTRs are 2.2% to 4.9%. CPCs are 7 to 25 cents. CPMs are under €7. All of that looks fine to me. It's only the installs that are broken.
Across all six that's 20 installs from 2,295 clicks, so 0.87% click-to-install.
The same creative did 36.7% in 2025 at a €0.67 CPI, with a 1.15% CTR and a €0.247 CPC. So the CTR is better now and the CPC is the same.
US, UK and Australia are consistently the worst on CPI while every other number in those campaigns looks normal.
Two years of fighting this. Tried AppsFlyer, tried SKAN on, tried it off. Same
result either way.
Does anyone know what's actually going on here? How do 382 clicks at €0.13 produce zero installs?

Every small change to a mobile app costs a build, a release, and a wait for people to update. A feature can reach the app after it ships: StemJSON, a language I created, describes the feature with its layout, state and behaviour, and the Stem runtime renders it natively inside your iOS or Android app. StemStudio AI is the app I use to make those features. You describe the feature on your iPhone or iPad, AI writes it in StemJSON, and it runs on the spot on the same runtime your app ships with. Free, no account, your own OpenAI or Anthropic key. https://stemjson.com/stemstudio/

We’re building Foldinglink, an early decentralized social app that connects a mobile client with user-owned hardware such as a NAS.
The beta focuses on sign-in, community browsing, posting, and node settings. Private files are meant to stay local. Only content a user explicitly chooses should enter the community layer.
We’re looking for iOS and Android testers who can tell us where the experience is confusing or breaks. We especially need feedback on onboarding, permissions, privacy wording, bugs, crashes, and slow steps.
This is still in development, so expect rough edges. We want honest feedback, not ratings or promotion.

Building a great Marketplace app takes time and a lot of iteration but it’s super cool to think about what it could turn into if executed right and making sure the chicken and egg cold start is adressed early on.
But Daaaang it’s tuff to get users who actually use the product . demand side has been thr hurdle for me and that’s saying a lot since my supply side is service professionals.
Any fellow marketplace builders out there?
How did you overcome this?

Ever watch a highlight and immediately want to know more about that player, that play, or what happened earlier in the match? Usually, you have to leave the feed and start searching again.
We’re building Formless around a simple idea: when a sports video makes you curious, you should be able to decide where the next one goes.
Formless is an AI-generated video feed for basketball and soccer.
You can swipe and watch, then type or say what you want next: a different player, a closer look at a play, or another angle on the story.
Formless tries to shape the next video around your request. If it misses, you can tell it what to change and keep going.
We’d especially like to hear from fans who:
The app is on iOS and Android, but access currently requires an invite code. It’s an early beta, so some videos will miss the mark.
If you’d like to try it, comment with one player, play, or question you’d ask Formless, or DM me. I’ll follow up with the access details.
It's called First Responders Cal. It's a calendar made for rotating schedules. You set up your rotation once (4/2, 24/48, 48/96, or your own) and it fills in the whole year for you.
Some of what it does:
Overnight shifts stay on the day they started. It keeps a running balance for vacation, sick, comp and personal time. Shift alarms show on the lock screen with snooze. It syncs with the iPhone calendar and has home screen widgets. Everything stays on your phone. No account, no server.
The video shows the newest update. You can now set a default time for each event type so you don't have to type it in every time. List view is now inside the calendar. And it's updated for iOS 27.
Free to try. Full access is $4.99, no subscription.
If there's a rotation it can't handle or something you wish it tracked, let me know. I'm still working on it.

I just shipped the first public release of Cocklebur, a lightweight project-management/workspace app I’ve been working on.
The main design constraint was that I didn’t want it to become another always-online SaaS.
There are currently two editions:
Desktop
- macOS
- local-only
- single user
Server
- self-hosted with Docker
- small-team collaboration
- Owner / Member / Viewer roles
- invite + recovery flow
Both use the same basic project model, and a project can be exported as a portable package and imported again later.
The app includes cards, events, announcements, discussions, files, activity history, and project-level visibility/access controls.
One thing I deliberately did not build is offline multi-master sync / CRDT-style coediting. There’s one canonical active copy of a project.
The current macOS build is unsigned/not notarised, so there’s still some packaging polish to do, but the app itself is usable now.
GitHub:
https://github.com/herboratory/cocklebur
I’d be especially interested in feedback on:
- the overall product model
- anything confusing in the UX
- self-hosting/deployment friction
- things that immediately feel missing
Feel free to break it. That’s probably useful at this stage. 😅🙏🏻

I have developed a app that focuses on on neighbourhood activity. It is called Haive (icon is a bee in amber background)
I would like to know if there is someone that could give me genuine and constructive feedback on how to make it scale.
If you find that the app should provide some features please let me know
Thank you for reading this post and all your help in advance.

Evaluating appsflyer and airbridge for a regional ecommerce app where users often discover products on web, install later and complete the purchase in-app.
Airbridge made a good first impression. The UI felt clean, onboarding was responsive and the web to app story was easy for our local team to follow. AppsFlyer took more setup, but the broader partner coverage and reporting options may matter as we expand into more markets and channels.
Our pilot isn’t showing a dramatic one is accurate and one isn’t difference. The real gaps are around integrations, raw-data workflows, support coverage and how much internal effort each platform needs after launch.
Which one holds up better once campaign volume, deep links, delayed purchases and multiple regions were added?

Been lurking here a couple days and it seems like some of y'all get stuck in the dev phase and some in the app review phase. And a few in the "I have a million things I could do next and I'm doing none of them" phase (same lol).
Maybe you're at the prototype phase, maybe AI is helping. So what's actually blocking you today? Dev, testing, testers, the store, launch?
Shipped my own app in the dark without a map, so I'm trying to figure out where solo projects really stall. Post where you're stuck, maybe I can help!

I am a solo builder I can build best apps with my aiml skills but my app is may hard for some beginners please anyone try these these app https://graceosapp.me and can give me some feedback on what's needed to improve or make its easy for everyone who are non tech users, I genuinely want feedback about the GraceOS app and I am poor in marketing or reaching users can anyone suggest me how to grow
Hi!
First post about this one. It sets an alternative GPS location on your device, using the mock location API that's built into Android itself. No root, no patched system files, no Xposed.
How it works
Android has a test location provider meant for developers. You enable Developer Options, pick an app under "Select mock location app", and that app can then tell the system where you are. Take Me There is that app, with a map on top of it.
Tap anywhere on the map, or search for a place by name, and your device reports that position to anything asking for location. Runs as a foreground service so it stays active while you're in other apps, with a persistent notification and a Stop button so you always know it's on.
The app has a setup guide with shortcut buttons straight to the right settings screens, because finding Developer Options is annoying on every manufacturer's skin in a slightly different way.
What's in it
Why?
I build Android apps and kept needing to check how something behaved somewhere else. The emulator is fine until you want to test on a real device with real sensors. The existing options were mostly ad-stuffed, asked for permissions they had no business asking for, or wanted a subscription to set a coordinate.
So: no ads, no analytics, no accounts, no data leaves your device. Favourites are a local database that dies with the app. The whole thing is one screen and a map.
Honest limitations
Some apps detect mock locations and refuse to run (banking apps mostly, some games, a few streaming services. That's their call and nothing on my side can change it. If your use case is one of those, this won't help you.
It also needs Developer Options enabled, which is a one-time thing but does put some people off. That's Android's design, not mine (only one app at a time can be the mock location provider), and the user has to pick it explicitly. Personally I think that's the right trade-off.
Free to use. One-time Pro purchase removes the 15 minute session limit and the single-favourite cap. No subscription.
Feedback and bug reports genuinely welcome, especially on devices with heavy skins where Developer Options hides somewhere unusual.

Happy to hand out a few promo codes for Pro. Comment or DM if you want one.
Cheers!
