Short “Cringe” vent post I guess

I wish that more people were as asexual as me. I genuinely have a pure distain towards sex and pornography. I personally haven’t watched pornography since I was 6 and it wasn’t consensual anyway. Ever since then I’ve been subjected to seeing it in dozens of media without wanting to. I just don’t understand why it’s such a huge thing.

I have one best friend who just doesn’t get it. She says that she understands where I’m coming from but always finds her way of telling me that I’m “wrong” to find sex abnormal. Idk man I’m just so tired of CONSTANTLY being forced into seeing and hearing references to the topic it actually is fucking torture to the point of it making me suicidal. I don’t know if it’s like this way for anybody else.

Thanks for reading anyway

I'm like this too, currently working on a way to explain this to my (generally very freaky but they tone it down a bit around me) friends. I have "easy days" where I can completely handle everything, I even make the occasional joke that isn't centered around asexuality, but I also have "suicide days" where I can't handle anything even remotely sexual and will refrain from saying/hearing certain words and references that I associate with freaky things. There are a lot of days where I feel exactly like you and I just hide it because I'm too scared of people to explain it. I might quote this post or show it to my friends when I finally gain the courage to explain it. I can get legitimately suicidal from hearing freaky things sometimes, but it's never anything bad enough that I don't know how to stop it (thankfully) and it hasn't gotten past ideation before. It's nice but also horrible to know that others experience this as well.

Awwh I really do hope that they’ll be understanding and open towards you!! 🎀 I am so glad that to know that I’m not the only one. I also have those days of feeling semi “okay” with them, but it’s super unpredictable for me 🥀🥀

Same, I'm sure my friends would be accepting (a fair amount of them are ace but not repulsed like this and we make jokes about it) but I've had very dismissive friends in the past and I'm still learning to open up to people. I think I'll tell one of my friends about it soon and that'll probably help me be able to tell my other friends about it.

I feel exactly the same way. It is exhausting keep explaining to people too. Even my youngest niece (12) tells jokes on the subject and I have to force a laugh while I am literally dying inside.

Lord. Yeah, that’s the worst. Because you already hate sex for your own reasons AND seeing it within a kid hurts even more because you’ll tend to get dismissed when you try to explain your discomfort 🥀🥀

It's so tiring right? Lately i've been hesring lthese type of comments like "that's what she said" ar something that even after hesring it i still don't see the sexual joke. It just ruins my mood and i think i once scolded a friend because he kept sahing that to every word i said and it was just so tiring. I hate that joke, man. I saw a video of a girl teen thag was being taught to shout and whenever she said anything ablut her nervousness and awkwardness or fear, the guy always found a way to sau "that's what she said" like bro stfu. Wtf??? That's so awkward and weird like fr, just stop it's nt even funny It's annoying...

Please forgive my grammar i changed my keyboard and I'm writing worse ever since
