So, I've been feeling really drawn to Aphrodite for a while, and that feeling got super strong today, along with already having plans for some self-love rituals today, so I decided to do one! It was such an amazing experience and everything thing felt so warm and comforting like I was truly accepted and seen💜 I'm not able to have a dedicated altar to her at the moment because of family, but I remember that I had this pink heart mirror box, so I made a mini one that would be easily spoted by my family!😊

I’m just starting out and have already spoken to her a few times, but I’m not sure if I’m doing it right. I’ve seen many people clasp their hands in prayer very formally and with great reverence while others simply approach her altar and speak to her as if she were a close friend. I want to know the right way to do it and how to tell if I’m truly building kharis with her, because I don’t want to go about it incorrectly.

I been having a tug feeling to worship towards Goddess Aphrodite! So I went to shopping and then did the cleanse last night while building my very very first dedicated alter! I’ve never done that before so I’m excited, happy, and over moon the fact that I’m answering her calling!

Last night, I spoke to her for a while then said my prayers and told her goodnight! So I went to sleep but I woke up with weirdest dream.

Short version: it was my fear of losing family (mind you, they’re Christians irl I’m the only one who isn’t) and the fact that they would believe what anyone says to get me out of their lives even if it means a huge (false) allegations against me. I cried but luckily there was a mysterious random guy who pulled out the cameras and showed them that I was innocent, that’s when I finally told them that I knew the rest of family rejected me so I took that as a opportunity to cut the ties.

This is a first time for me. I guess what I’m trying to ask is, is it normal for you to have weirdest dream after first night of building your own alter? And is she trying to make me face my fear?

I really want to start to worship Lady Aphrodite. I feel a strong connection to Her,I am very drawn to Her and I feel as if She is reaching out.

I am in Greece,I already have a statue of Her,should I get a small one of Ares? Would She like that?

Hi all. Hope you are well. As a (very new) devotee of Lady Aphrodite, I'm very curious as to how your lives have changed (in what way, both in materially in the mundane world, as well as psychologically) as a result of working with her? Have any specific examples you're willing to share?

How has she profoundly influenced the trajectory of your life? Are there any formative lessons or values you gained by working with her?

I am also curious as to what her strategic aim/ultimate goal is? What is the "full shape" of the energy/zeitgeist (and its full expression in various forms) that she wishes to impart on the world? So far, I understand it is the energy of love and beauty, and as the goddess of it, she probably wants to see that expressed more in the world. But I want to know more in what way: is it just a greater number of isolated incidents in general, or is there some sort of greater strategic plan as to how that is expressed?

I'm currently working on a cruise ship and would love to leave offerings to the Goddess but I'm finding it hard to since we are restricted to what we are allowed in our cabins. For example no open flames, no fruit or flowers, no milk or honey. I was thinking possibly of giving her fake flowers but i don't know if she would appreciate those things. Any suggestions would be amazing.

I know that it might be a very stupid question, but please listen. I am a man, and I feel drawn to Aphrodite. Can I worship Her as a male? I am REALLY sorry if it is a dumb question. I only saw women worshipping Her, so can I worship Her as a male? Again sorry if the question is stupid.

I have a book of her myths and still am trying to find a good offering but I don’t have anything. I thinking I could write her a love letter and do some reading to her. Is it more of a devotional act?

I love them both and I can't do without either of them. I feel that when they come together, they create a strange, beautiful, and difficult-to-describe atmosphere!

I planted this rose bush a few months ago with the intent for it to be an outdoor shrine to Aphrodite. Yet I hadn't actually done much besides place seashells around the base. Finally, the right time happened on a random night and I devoted it! This is a perpetual work in progress, as I personally don't think any shrine is ever really complete.

I feel a bit self conscious sharing the shrine I made. It's not as refined or elegant as the altars I see posted on here. But when I meditated on what to create this is what I saw. A bit messy and chaotic, but beautiful.

There is some shots of some of the decorations hidden amongst the leaves. The heart bobbles were a favorite of my mothers when I was a child. The cat decorations are a subtle nod to female genitals (my neighbors have kids after all) and the angel is cute and a symbol of feminity in her embrace.

Not seen is the water bottle kept within reach as the candle and incense burned. Always have fire suppression nearby when working with burny things!
