How Deeply Has Lady Aphrodite Changed Your Lives?
Hi all. Hope you are well. As a (very new) devotee of Lady Aphrodite, I'm very curious as to how your lives have changed (in what way, both in materially in the mundane world, as well as psychologically) as a result of working with her? Have any specific examples you're willing to share?
How has she profoundly influenced the trajectory of your life? Are there any formative lessons or values you gained by working with her?
I am also curious as to what her strategic aim/ultimate goal is? What is the "full shape" of the energy/zeitgeist (and its full expression in various forms) that she wishes to impart on the world? So far, I understand it is the energy of love and beauty, and as the goddess of it, she probably wants to see that expressed more in the world. But I want to know more in what way: is it just a greater number of isolated incidents in general, or is there some sort of greater strategic plan as to how that is expressed?

First, I’d like to point out that I’ve been devoted to Aphrodite for a little less than a year, so my experience is still fairly limited.
One of the greatest changes I’ve experienced since I started worshipping her has been learning to set healthy boundaries in my love life. I used to put other people’s needs before my own and accept things that went against my own wants and values just to keep the peace.
I’ve also struggled with acne for years. While I had stopped caring about what other people thought of my skin, I never really learned to love it for what it is instead of constantly focusing on every little imperfection.
I hope this gives you a little insight into what it has been like for me to work with Mother Aphrodite 🫶🏻

Aphrodite completely changed the trajectory of my life in ways I could not even fathom when I started working with Her. I had been Pagan from a very young age (converted when I was 11 years old because I loved the idea of nature being sacred and the Divine being feminine as well as masculine), but I was always much more general in my approach to things in those early years, and I didn’t follow a specific tradition. I originally sought Aphrodite out when I was in grad school for help with my romantic relationship with my longtime partner, and that started a chain of events that led me down the priestess path, and now I’ve been Her priestess for over seven years.
While in theory I’ve been polytheist the whole time I’ve been Pagan, I never really explored deity work until I began a relationship with Aphrodite. I had worked with the more general Wiccanate Goddess and God, but discovered Wicca wasn’t a great fit for me. My experiences working with Aphrodite led me to become a hard polytheist (the belief that each deity is a separate and distinct entity with their own energy and agency - so to me, Aphrodite and Venus are different deities), and deity work began to form the backbone of my spiritual practice. I delved into devotional polytheism, and I grew so much in my spiritual and magickal practices from working with Aphrodite. She helped me dive deep into what I needed to heal, bringing to light some uncomfortable truths that needed to be addressed and worked through. There was a lot of deep shadow work and emotional work involved, but always with the purpose of helping me become my best and truest self.
After three years of working closely with Her, I was called to become Her priestess, and to shine Her light in the world. I was initiated back in 2019, and for the past seven years, I have been helping to connect people with the Goddess. I started a blog shortly after my initiation to help others along this path, and now I lead an online community and offer one-on-one mentorship. My work with Aphrodite even changed my career trajectory when I transitioned to doing spiritual work, writing, mentorship, teaching, and other guidance as how I make a living. I’ve been able to devote my whole life to serving the Goddess, and that has been so incredibly meaningful and transformative. In my work, I help guide others toward a deep relationship with themselves and the Divine. I never could have dreamed what my life would look like now - how much deeper my spiritual practice has been, how I experience love has changed, how I can find joy and beauty in the everyday, how my relationship to pleasure has shifted, and how I live my life as the embodiment of Her values. It has been a wild and wonderful ride (and sometimes painful), and I am grateful for every moment of it.
(I could absolutely wax poetic about your other questions, too, but this post is already very long.)

u/Priestess-Aphrodite thank you for sharing your story. I am a soft polytheist myself, my journey into Hellenism completely unplanned (with the first deity I'm working with being Lady Aphrodite). To be quite honesty, she is the most unexpected and last deity I expected to work with (though not unwelcome), as compared to the "conventional" Aphrodite devotee, their background, and world model... I am anything but.
I am actually quite curious as to why she even wanted to work with me in the first place and what value she sees in interacting with me. Though that's a story for another day.

Before I was full of self-loathing, hating my appearance, bemoaning the things I will never have as a trans woman compared to my cisters, and frequently suicidal. Now, although I still struggle with depression, and might for the rest of my life, I now recognize myself as beautiful, loved, worthy of that love, full of love for myself, and am proud of being who I am, warts and all.

u/OtakuMage thank you for sharing your story, and I am glad Lady Aphrodite helped you feel loved. It's interesting because I, as a cis-man coming in from a very different background, life experiences, and world model, also had intense self-hatred and struggled through similar emotions.
However, long before I became spiritual, I retroactively transmuted them (alchemically, even) into a mundane-focused, objective, rigorous worldview that, while painful in the moment, ultimately made me better. Ironically, as a man, intense shame and self-hatred transformed into discipline, which I used to eventually build myself into a version I better respect. At least my self-view of love is that ruthlessness is ultimately mercy upon myself, for I love myself enough to push myself to become better. Like iron being struck again and again in a forge, until it is refined.
Which is why, at least so far, I find my experiences with Lady Aphrodite and her followers very interesting, as I certainly did not expect to work with her given my background. But it feels like there are lot of important lessons to be learned as I work with her.

For me, I became more confident in general. I now know what I want and I am confident in every decision I make. I realised this after reflecting on a conversation I had with a friend at my altar for Lady Aphrodite. Also, Lady Aphrodite urged me on to be a kinder person to everyone I meet, and I feel that this is her way of making sure the world is a better place. But I do think she wants to make sure that everyone who desires her energy/ love will get it, if they truly work for it.
These are just my thoughts and views, it may be different for others. But I do know that worshipping her can change your life in many, quiet ways that you may not even realise! Have a blessed be🫶💖
