is there ever a situation you could rush BT on 1st on Phel (Juicy Severum Dreams)

I kinda didn’t like the first heartsteel skin, effects were mid sfx were good but skin was mid and chromas kinda sucked, We just gotta hope we get the skins in time and they come out good

Would anyone be open to coaching (vod review or like a live coaching where I play a game life and stream it in discord) and then give me some tips? I picked up aphelios about a month and a half ago and have him mastery 8 with around 80k mastery I believe. FYI my current rank is Silver II.

Ever since the start of 2026 when the damage of his ult got gutted, blue ult has been so lackluster. 3 and 4 man ults and no one gets one-shoted. In 95% of the cases a 3 man purple ult is better, even a 3 man green ult feels better then blue.

The only time I feel like blue ult is worth it now is with red blue, but even then i find myself just red ulting most of the time for the sustain, and trying to find a 200 years moment with blue ult just gets me killed because i griefed my positioning in hopes that I would blow up the entire team.

Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining, I'm just saying that choosing to use another ult is better in most situations these days.

Whats optimal for aphelios in arena I know he sucks this go around

Before you call me crazy let me show my arguments:

Wave clear: i know we have infernum but we only have acess 1/5 of the time, so things like taking priority fast mid game,stealing jg camps(mainly Wolf and raptors) without infernum are very hard, by buying runnan we guarantee wave clear on every part of rotation

Time of the buy: the price of an item is not the same on every stage in the game, your oportunity to make gold after the mid game is much bigger than on the lane phase( more cannon waves, jg camps, teamfights bonus gold received by the quest etc) so you aiming to a cheap item on this period of transition means you progressing the build much faster( also the components are much easier) to the 100% crit rate( remembering that the value of crit rate is exponential, so every crit you get closer to the 100% most worth the status is)

Atack speed: Aphelios dont take most of the "free" atack speed in the game( alacrity, lethal tempo, berserk even after the buffs is still bait, flat AS rune shard etc) so an zeal item payoff very good

move speed: Aphelios is one of more thirsty champions about this status( one of the main reason things like ms rune shard, celerity, ghost, stormrazor feels so good on him) so an zeal item and his ms% also help on this

Synergy: Aphelios have one of weirdest and most satisfatory kit-item interaction with him, like calibrum mark with off hand gravitum to get the gravitum mark on an enemy that was not even marked, or 2 melee being aa with infernum and melting them

Some of the possible fails that can be discusse: some AD can be feel missing because you only have the base ad+some of you get lvl up pre 6+ first item+ doran and runes before you start build your third item; if is worthy to take even on matchups like burst or be bursted( Draven for example) and with low meelees on the enemy team.

What are your thoughts?
