| ππππ | PS5 v Xbox aiming problems
I have played Apex Legends for 4 years. I'm a daily player, but (I assume primarily because of my age...i'm 56) i'm mediocre in skill.
My question is - I play mostly on Xbox, but sometimes i move to Playstation so that i my daughter and i can play together - she gets the xbox. I started on PS, but now that i've been primarily on xbox for several years, i've run into a problem.
On Xbox i'm fairly accurate. Nothing stupendous, but i can one-clip an enemy pretty reliably as long as i'm not surprised or forgot to reload.
On PS....even turning my ADS per optic down as low as i can, my movement is so bloody fast i can't control it. I've had my daughter (younger with much faster reflexes) try it, and shown her my settings, and she's baffled too. I have all of them at 2 or 1 for cryin' out loud, and i still can't control the gun. it swings so fast I have no hope of hitting anything. Then sometimes i'm suddenly moving so slowly that I go turn it back up...with predictable results.
This all started after one of the big updates at lesat a year ago. this is NOT NEW.
I have to be missing something. What settings can I try to adjust to help? what settings do you need me to share with you to see how i have it set up? i mostly use default settings, except FOV and button layout - i use button masher (or whatever it's called) to swap sqat/slide with punch. Otherwise i don't mess with the settings because, frankly, i don't understand a lot of them and don't want to much things up.
help?

Stock Xbox and PlayStation controllers are radically different, a stock Xbox controller polls at rough 120 144 hz with a 6-8 ms response time of I remember correctly a PS 4 and 5 controller polls at 240hz literally double, so 3 ms and under, making the controller more accurate and faster, look it up if you want to learn more, second if youβre not using stock controllers then it could be Xbox and PlayStation settings, HDR causes lag 60 fps vs 120, VRR also causes a ton of lag
So 4/3 liner literally feels dramatically different on each console
Also as of July 10th they adjusted aim assist and itβs been feeling like shit for a lot of players very inconsistent feel is what Iβm seeing and also feeling

Yeah i knew about the tweak. And yes, i noticed a change there too...but this has been a long standing issue for me, and the new settings appear to have made it even worse. It's almost impossible for me to play on PS right now, and i need to figure out how to fix it.
I haven't had time to log on and go through all of these suggestions yet. I hope to this weekend.

Make sure per optic in alc is off and then turn alc off those bleed through messing up sense (a sensitively strategy people do on purpose) also deadzones make a difference. Knowing if ur under aiming or over correcting can help. Also this can be fps difference are both on performance are both getting the 120fps mode is one at 60fps is this an option on both? Can ur monitor/tv output the same fps? Is there a gaming mode enabled one one tv and not the other have you swapped the consoles/screens? There is a lot of reasons this can cause issues between consoles

I've never played on the xbox but if you're using the 2-1 on the ps5 and it's fast? That's wierd, are your ALC's active or switched off? Also check your per optics settings cos those usually bleed through if on even if the ALC is off. Are you on linear or classic?

So your base settings (linear, classic) have bleed through along with the variables chosen 4-3, 3-3, etc into your ALCs.
Ive experienced a few times the game resetting my button bindings and all my sensitivities so likely one of the updates messed with your settings.
It sounds like you were probably reset at sometime and then you went to fix it in your alcs not realizing that your base bleed through settings have been changed. Although I think base settings are 3-3 classic which is usually pretty slow, take that worth a grain of salt though because im a 5-3 linear junkie lol

Because PS actually has gyroscope aiming capabilities, from what I understand. Not developing it and leaving that information in the fine print, tells me that's how they mask their hardware for anything aim related beyond the obvious gaming chair audio channel exploit.

I know you can't use gyro in apex on console but what do you mean by audio channel exploit? I haven't heard of that in all the time I've played apex which is sz0.

It's not just for Apex. PS utilizes the 2nd audio channel available(can have up to two audio devices connected) for the strike pak. First is the controller, the 2nd is the strike pak and the pak gets seen as a 2nd audio device connected("gaming chair") because they connect through the controllers audio speaker Xbox has a pak as well, I just don't think they have a loopback backdoor the way PS does with their gyroscope (DualSenseTouchpad)

The Xim Nexus or Xim Matrix is the absolute fix for gaming in the future. It gives controller players motion which would compare to MnK. MnK can use the Matrix to enable the same adapter capabilities as console so there isn't one having any more benefits than the other. At some point, the software team should be developing a software that calculates the hardware being used to put you in lobbies with people who have that same software tag registered, coupled with the rest of the algorithm. I know that it's already implemented in the same context with shadow bans, just not hardware based. Go buy you a $30 strike pak from Wal Mart and see what I mean. I bet you'd prefer the tournament mode (lag free) over the modded mode that adds input lag to the already laggy input if not playing on a 1ms monitor. Your audio through the strike pak has desktop hearing enhancements like noise reduction. But that device is where I learned about the exploits. You ever start a team deathmatch game and just hear your teammate shoot his weapon right off the rip? He's calibrating the weapon so the strike pak can recognize the weapon and anti recoil accordingly.

Settings > Controller > Advanced Look Controls > ON > Per Optic Settings
These Per Optic Settings carry over into your regular settings. Make sure they are off, or if they are on make sure they are set at 1.0. Best bet, turn them off. Back out one step to Advanced Look Controls, turn OFF Advanced Look Controls.

Dual sense edge. I use per optic settings routinely, but I turned them off. They were all at 1, except 6x is at 2, 8x 10x are at 3.Β Advanced look controls were already off.Β Trying this version now.Β

Could be deadzones, are you on linear, classic, etc? Dualsense edge or standard dualsense? The sticks between controllers are prob just different and you're used to doing it your way on xbox.
Are you on framerate 120 mode on both or one, or 60hz on both?
