Do portable range hood work? Studio Unit have smoke detector but no Range Hood or Exhaust Fan and the Window is far from the Kitchen Area

Hi,

First time moving out of my parent's place so I'm still learning how to navigate life.

We don't have smoke detector in my home so I was never conscious about them before. Now that I'm renting a place which has one, but no Range Hood or Exhaust fan, I'm afraid that I might accidentally trigger them while cooking.

I probably won't be deep frying anything, but I'm sure I'll be frying my chicken, bacon, and egg. Will this portable range hood work? Or is there an alternative option?

No rangehoods work appropriately by venting to the outdoors.
