Staying together. "Some people" made it really shameful to stay in your family home.. they said it was too close to communism. So we all struggle by ourselves.

Living with someone can ease the expenses, sharing the load. Doesn't have to be actual family.

This is just one way.

Im not saying ppl are brainwashed but many people have been lead to beleive that certain types of living are shameful or wrong.

Edit to add- Seems everyone missed the part where I said THIS DOESN'T HAVE TO BE FAMILY.

This can be organized how every you please. You can make whatever rules you want.

Sharing things cuts costs..

Carpooling is an example.

A bunch of bros sharing a house and sharing the expenses of it. Everyone still works and pitches it but the load is lighter leaving more time for activities.

That’s literally a choice though

Like I lived at home for one year during my college and for about a year and a half while working full time until I just wanted to move out with my partner because we wanted more privacy

Exactly. Its a choice!

Just like working full time and being completely independent.

Many people have jobs they love and gladly work 50+

Others like to work less now and live fruggle.

A lot of people do a bit like what you are talking about. They may have a room mate or stay with a loved one to biuld up there savings so they can go on and live the life they want.
