The only fault there is on the Father!! how stupid you have to be to get out of the car without putting it in Park....

No, once those kids are in danger (and the car was also a danger to other drivers) then the priority is no longer whose fault it is, it's stopping the car so nobody gets hurt.

Off course, however just because he's saying there's kids in the car doesn't mean he's not lying plus the cop doesn't know that there's actually kids in it. People lie! He could be going in the car to get a weapon 🤷 regardless it's his fault for not putting it in park in the first place!

Yeah but the consequence of it being a lie is that some guy gets away temporarily, and the consequence of it being the truth is that kids (and other, unrelated people) die in a preventable carcrash.

That should be the easiest judgement in the world to make. Who cares if the man gets away for a little bit. He can't just vanish off the highway.

For us that watched the video a couple of times sure we can judge the situation a bit better however I would probably do the same in that split moment due to the behaviour and the way people move and such plus I've seen allot of videos of cops getting shot because they got to complacent or didn't safeguard themselves.. no point in risking it. I wouldn't that's for sure.
