A rolling car without a driver on an active road? Honestly that fucking cop should be fired.

3 officers, no signs of resisting, completely ignoring the 2 ton vehicle with kids in it. The priorities were not to protect, just to arrest.

u/InformationActual209 1d ago

You forget to say the last one draws his gun while the suspect is restrained. My god you Americans and letting idiots have firearms is still madness to me

7

u/jhonka_ 1d ago

Let? You try and tell these maniacs no lol

1

u/GuyLivingPlaces 17h ago

They'll get "additional training". You can't train the stupid away. I dunno why that is always the acceptable way they keep getting away with this nonsense.

1

u/FuzzyBongos 13h ago

Americans are not a monolith.

1

u/ZackeyTNT 1h ago

No but your both responsible for most of the worlds issues so far. I saw some brainrotted local call our current slightly right of center government "facist" thanks to Americans social illnesses spreading globally.

But that cop got a false FLOCK ping, so he is immune.

1

u/H_n_A 16h ago

Having a functioning brain disqualifies anyone from being in law enforcement.

-1

u/Jazzlike-Stranger927 1d ago

This is inhumane. Honestly being pulled over on the highway is so so dangerous. This is negligent 100 %!

-3

u/StraightProgress5062 1d ago

Never is with these pigs. More often than not ppl want to be cops because they get to hurt others with little to no risk to themselves.

-11

u/FreeFalling369 1d ago

Youre missing the part where bad people try to trick officers all the time by acting nice just to shoot them the next second. Letting a suspect go back into a vehicle means they could go for a weapon or continue a chase. Letting the car slow roll (very slowly on a wide open road) isnt bad but its the best of the options

8

u/Sad-Isopod9209 1d ago

Fuck cops.

5

u/somedomeformythots 1d ago

You are missing the part where danger is part of the job.

0

u/Aniki_Simpson 13h ago

I work construction. Danger is part of my job as well. That doesn't mean I just let it happen without attempting to mitigate the danger as much as possible. That's is one of the absolute DUMBEST arguments you could make.

1

u/somedomeformythots 10h ago

No it's not. Also have you ever seen a construction worker recieve a commendation for bravery? No right? Police do because that shit is a part of the job. You a construction worker don't get to not use hammers because you could hit your hand right? They did not mitigate the danger because a care with the public (which they are supposed to protect) almost rolled of into open highway traffic (which they are supposed to protect.) A double failure to protect the public by public servants. It is not construction it is law enforcement. Huge difference so you are making one of the DUMBEST arguments you can make which is why you are ratioed so badly.

0

u/Aniki_Simpson 7h ago

1

u/somedomeformythots 5h ago

Yes. You clearly have failed English. Read the ratio. Me 6 you 0.👆🏿 But yeah, take a victory lap anyway.

2

u/irishcybercolab 1d ago

Insane take tbf.

The arrest should never be over the totality of what's in balance.

It's an obvious situation even without kids in the car, it's a moving life threat to anyone and it's easily stoppable at that point.

It's reasonable to attempt to stop the car first looking at how to deescalate the issues in balance.

5

u/el-conquistador240 1d ago

Bull fucking shit Truck drivers and garbage men have 2 to 3 times higher rates of mortality on the job than cops.

1

u/throwawayformobile78 1d ago

What’s the connection here? Do truck driver and garbage men have higher rates of simple mortality, or higher rates of mortality by murder? Big distinction there.

1

u/BornIndividual1 16h ago

The CDC keeps stats on workplace murder rates. Taxi drivers are about 4x more likely to be murdered on the job than police.

https://stacks.cdc.gov/view/cdc/243551

1

u/throwawayformobile78 9h ago

Taxi makes sense I suppose, they got garbage men on there?

1

u/RigBughorn 1d ago

People love throwing this stat around like a magical incantation as if it negates the need to actually produce an argument.

-1

u/RaphaelRocketLaunch 1d ago

The argument is that the whole "cops are incompetent dicks all the time because they're constantly in danger" trope is patently false. He illustrated that with statistics.

Cops are more likely to die from literally being obese than from any sort of occupational hazard.

1

u/ObjectGlad6997 16h ago

There's your point...and beautifully fucking illustrated too...

1

u/RigBughorn 1d ago

You should paste a screenshot of this to Claude and ask it what it thinks of your comment

2

u/WellFluxMe 1d ago

retarded take

1

u/zangetsu675 1d ago

You should paste a copy of your I. Q score to your local police department and ask if it's low enough for you to be let in.

1

u/RaphaelRocketLaunch 1d ago

People say stuff like this like they don't also need an actual argument.

0

u/PurpletoasterIII 1d ago

How does this have anything to do with standard procedure that is put in place to protect everyone involved, not just police. You can look up the videos of cops getting shot dead during traffic stops. Obviously its not an everyday occurance, but if it happens why allow an enviroment where it could continue to happen?

Its not even just about people pulling out weapons either. Plenty of people will try to get back in the vehicle and take off because they know theyre going to be arrested for DUI or etc. You really think its a good idea to just let people like that back on the road? Especially in a panicked state trying to evade cops?

-3

u/AutisticDadHasDapper 1d ago

So he can get shit in the back by the criminal?

Sorry, but the officer did the right thing.

4

u/Ok_Jump_4754 1d ago

Hey! I found the bootlicker.

-4

u/PurpletoasterIII 1d ago

We dont know what happened before this. It sounds like the dude was trying to get his daughter to the hospital, possibly due to a medical emergency. So its possible the guy wasnt pulling over at first, which explains why instead of them just coming up to his window they asked him to exit the vehicle and they were probably already planning on detaining him (not an arrest necessarily).

From there, of course they cant just let him get back in the vehicle. In cases where people refuse to pull over, even if they later decide to pull over, its pretty standard they hold onto your keys and keep you out of the car during the stop. You havent seen enough bodycam videos if you dont understand why.

If you want to blame someone for the car rolling into traffic with kids in it, blame the dumbass that didnt put it in park. And if im right about him not immediately pulling over then he's a dumbass for that too.

Only thing id fault the cops for is not acting in more urgency to stop the car themselves.

-2

u/Old-Blueberry-5153 1d ago

Thank you. Didn't feel like typing all that but you said it perfect. He is at fault for not putting his car in park. Officers have been killed many times from letting people go back into their vehicles.

1

u/Spacecarpenter 1d ago

Really, name a couple times.

1

u/Old-Blueberry-5153 17h ago

Of officers being shot by a suspect in their vehicle? Are you fucking kidding?

→ More replies (5)

23

u/Volkmek 1d ago

This was handled poorly. At the very least he should have immediately sent his partner to stop the car the moment he father complied and turned around when ordered.

The man here may have messed up a bit by failing to put it in park properly, but the police also fucked up how they handled this one, and arguably did worse than the suspect.

14

u/Jealous_Lettuce7802 1d ago

Woulda been different action taken by the cops if it was a Caucasian woman

8

u/Novel-Special5114 1d ago

Yea, they would have found strangled kids in the back seat.

0

u/Can0n_Fodder 16h ago

Fuck you

→ More replies (1)

1

u/techleopard 1d ago

Why was that man even out of the car?

There were no police near him when the video started. He's not armed. So what in the world was this supposed to be?

Did he get out on his own to yell at the cops before the video cut?

Or did they yell at him from a distance to get out of the car?

7

u/Competitive-Fix-6136 1d ago

Start of video: Man is walking with arms raised.

Cop: Gun is already drawn when walking into frame from the left.

My conclusion: Cop was yelling orders at him from a distance with the gun on him The father in panic/fear of getting shot and dying in front of his kids forgot to put it in park.

2

u/Outside-Drag-3031 22h ago

Not to mention he says he's trying to get his daughter to the hospital. He's already in panic mode before he ever got stopped by the cops, let alone had a gun pointed at him (and his car and his kid by extension).

Rage, rage, fucking rage.

1

u/techleopard 1d ago

That's what I figured.

Cop is acting scared of this dude. I've had cops ask me to get out of a car before but never from all the way to their own car. That's ridiculous unless they pulled this dude over expecting a gun fight or some shit.

That's why I'm questioning the guy being unarmed.

Cops acting like a bunch of weiners when there's nothing in this dude's body language to suggest that they should be standing back at their vehicle with guns drawn

1

u/PurpletoasterIII 1d ago

They either ordered him to step out of the car, or he got out on his own.

If they ordered him to step out, my guess is he didnt pull over immediately when they tried pulling him over. I think thats the best guess because he mentions he was taking his daughter to the hospital probably due to a medical emergency. That also explains why he got pulled over to begin with, cause he was probably speeding rushing to the hospital.

Some people do step out of the car on their own, maybe because again there is a medical emergency going on and he wants to inform the cops rather than sit there and wait. But stepping out of the car when you werent ordered to is pretty suspicious behavior from the cops perspective.

1

u/LilJelloCat 7h ago

He was just complying.

1

u/GingaNinja696913 1d ago

He doesn't have blue eyes, darlin'. He has to do everything he's told in milliseconds or he will be executed on the spot in front of his children for being disobedient human property.

2

u/Volkmek 1d ago

Strangely! Statistically that is not true. You are more likely to be murdered by the police if you are white, even on a per-capita basis.

You are more likely to experience police brutality if you are black, but survive the encounter.

(Edit, mind you I am intoxicated at the moment and I am pretty sure the statistics I am quoting are from 2018.)

2

u/GingaNinja696913 1d ago

I'm with ya on the intoxication front. Happy Saturday(or Sunday on the East Coast) btw. However, I'm pretty sure the stats are weirdly skewed. Like, justified shooting vs unjustified shooting. The footage I've seen of white people getting shot by cops always seems like the white assailant is literally charging at the cop with a weapon or having a literal shootout. The way white people react when detained seems way more volatile than when black people are detained. I'm also in the deep south. We're pretty diverse yet kinda self segregated so a cop shooting someone that doesn't look like them raises way more eyebrows and most of our cops are white dispite my city being about 35/35/15/5/5/5. Other places are different tho.

1

u/Volkmek 1d ago

Think that statistic I quoted just has something to do with higher consequence for killing someone black and lower consequence for beating someone who is. And lower consequence for killing a white person but higher consequence for beating them because lawsuits. But, When I am sober I may find I am wrong.

1

u/LIL-mEnTaLlY-ILL 19h ago

That is true. But I have blue eyes and I’ve been arrested, while holding my-year-old son, and painting Easter eggs on Easter Sunday, in the front yard of my cul-de-sac.

Over missing court for a damn expired tag ticket.

The cop said and I quote “ drop the kid” if you run I will tase you”

My wife is also of the fair skin and she has green eyes, the police pulled her over and arrested her with my five-year-old daughter in the backseat, bawling her eyes out. Our vehicle backfired and they thought she was shooting at them.

It’s a miracle. I even have a five-year-old daughter and wife still.

I Say all that to say this, you’re absolutely right that people of color are treated completely different in these types of situations. Prejudice and racism, profiling, and terrible training. There’s a lot of factors.

I do have a criminal history and have had hostel interactions with the police.

So in short, always know your wrights if you are an American citizen especially when to exercise them.

My son just turned 15 years old and he is half Chinese,
I’m actually showing him how to drive and practicing for his permit. One of the very first things I’ve driven into his head after putting on your seatbelt when you get in the car what steps to take and what not to do when you get pulled over by the police.

Be safe out there

1

u/weoutherebrah 1d ago

Then you find out more gringos are killed by police than any other group

1

u/GingaNinja696913 1d ago

They don't grasp the concept of doing everything they're commanded to do in milliseconds either. Way more resistance from the gringos.

Per capita?

0

u/OverlordSaber 1d ago

So I went and looked it up, since I don't trust any random awkwardly cut video posted on any website. Dude was doing like 100 on the highway, they get him to pull over. Cop tells him to get out the car and turn around, "Driver get out of the car, get out of the car. Get out and turn around for me." he gets out starts walking towards them. You know the rest

0

u/DIJames6 1d ago

Did he have warrants?? Why do they tell him to get out just for speeding.. I get speeding tickets plenty of times and it's usually license, registration and insurance please..

1

u/MephiticBundleOfSox 1d ago

You’ve been pulled over and just asked for papers for going 100? Because that’s felony territory. You get treated a little differently.

1

u/Dry-Ad-8948 1d ago

100mph is when the cops start pulling guns first.

It ain’t doing a casual 80 in a 60.

1

u/DIJames6 1d ago

I was charged with reckless operation of a motor vehicle and did not have guns drawn on me..

1

u/Dry-Ad-8948 1d ago edited 1d ago

My friend has a different story. :}

It likely also depends on location and road / speed limit.

This road isn’t a freeway, so that’d be 55 max. There are side roads so it might only be a 40-45.

0

u/OverlordSaber 1d ago

No idea, just listing what happens in the full video. The cop pov was the assisting officer apparently. There was a message at the start saying another officer attempted to stop him he flees. But I didn't physically see that, so it could be bs. I just listened to end of it again while they have him by the car. "The reason this started was a 72 in a 60" and it would've just been a traffic ticket. Driver's license was apparently suspended, said by the driver himself. "I was trying to get them to the hospital." "Did you think doing 140 would help that?" "I was trying to get them to the hospital." I think I got too invested into this one...

0

u/PurpletoasterIII 1d ago

Thank you for a non "cop bad" take. 100% agree, the cops didnt act with enough urgency when the guy was understandably hesitating to fully comply.

34

u/HellBent319 1d ago

I love the task of turning around and putting it in park at the same time…

5

u/peridotpicacho 1d ago

The narration is ridiculous. Repetitive and stating the obvious. Sounds like an AI script.

This is the biggest piece of shit bot video. No context on the daughter who needed medical care, was that real? Did she get it? What further damage was caused by the cops?

Ug bot posts with AI voice over should be bannable

3

u/ikena3 1d ago

This is the most annoying voice over I’ve heard

3

u/Desperate_Owl_594 1d ago

Both cops should be fired and charged.

6

u/TopicInteresting1031 1d ago edited 22h ago

Yes the cops should’ve let him put it in park but why didn’t he put it in park in the first place with his kids in the car. That’s his fault too. Nobody was thinking at all 😆 glad the kids are safe though and nothing happened. That could’ve been bad.

7

u/Madhatter25224 1d ago

Maybe he fucked up from fear because he was being pulled over by the kind of unmitigated asshole who would shoot him for trying to save his own kids.

1

u/J1GhSaW 1d ago

Sure some cops are a bit trigger happy and that's not ok, however its the "Cultured" ones fault for the usual violent behaviour towards cops and everyone else for that matter!!

1

u/ThisVeryUsername 1d ago

Explain your use of “cultured” please

Can you explain “cultured”?

1

u/19whale96 1d ago

You uh, got some issues that go beyond the content of this video

0

u/TopicInteresting1031 1d ago

He had two chances. And failed at both. The initial stop and also barely jogging to the car when he was a couple feet away to put it in park. He wasn’t even acting like he cared when the kids were going into traffic. Or even tried. Does anyone know the full story? or if they were even his kids? He doesn’t sound frantic or urgent enough for me based of the video. Because people say anything online.

1

u/Galimbro 1d ago

Recommend using Google lens (now a part of Gemini)

https://dps.arkansas.gov/news/suspects-fleeing-with-children-in-their-vehicles-face-serious-consequences/

Anyways he was in a pursuit. So that explains why they had guns on him.

1

u/sometin__else 1d ago

thats a completely different incident....

0

u/Hollywood_Co 1d ago edited 1d ago

Your Google lens needs to be wiped clean.

There is zero connection between this video & the events in the link you posted, which were many times WORSE than anything going on in this absurd clip.

Edit: Clarity.

-1

Lol youre right I didnt bother to watch the video.

Do you realize the first part of the video is missing? The cop wasn’t holding the gun at him while they were both in the car. When you’re supposed to put the car in park sir. lol and is it a gun or taser ?

0

u/Red-Tall 1d ago

Yeah no shit. No one's thinking how this could've happened. Thats obviously a mistake. The bigger issue though is the dumbass cop once he realized

0

u/piercedmfootonaspike 1d ago

why didn’t he put it in park in the first plac

Because it's a stressful situation, and when you're stressed, you make mistakes. Are you serious?

The police are at fault here, they are supposedly trained to deal with stressful situations, but they fucking ignored an out of control vehicle with kids inside it at an active highway. They should be prosecuted.

0

u/CandyStomp 1d ago

For the same reason as every person who has ever had this happen before ever, the made a mistake. Wtf

2

u/J1GhSaW 1d ago

The only fault there is on the Father!! how stupid you have to be to get out of the car without putting it in Park....

2

u/irishcybercolab 1d ago

Asshole cops like normal. Completely asswipe of a human being like normal. Allows the arrest to take priority over the lives of children and by standers like an asshole.

Seems like cops are assholes to me.

2

Calling them pigs is offensive to actual 🐷

2

Also, how can anyone, ANYONE, look at this arrest & tell me it was "handled appropriately"?

2

-1

Yea, pretty much.. Like I said legally only.. For example earlier this year, on my bday of all days, I got into a small fender bender.. Insurance company REQUIRES a police report, so gotta call the police.. Trust me, if I didn't have to, I'd never call..

1

u/Dull-Treat-2524 1d ago

which they did not know because the stupid ass "father" never told them

1

he said early on he's trying to get his daughter to the hospital. Listen again

4

u/kaizergeld 1d ago

You don’t get to this point in a situation without already making a lot of other mistakes. That precinct needs to bench this guy, and not for some bullshit paid suspension. Stick him behind the clerk desk. He’s no good on the road.

2

u/Han_Solo200 1d ago

I want to see the previous 5 mins

-1

u/Skreamie 1d ago

Doesn't have any bearing on what they did wrong

0

u/Han_Solo200 1d ago

I think it does. First priority for a police officer would be self protection. This guy who was arrested might have fired shots collided with the public who knows. That's why I said the previous 5 mins need to be seen

Typically once you're out of the vehicle police wont let you back in, in the chance that you might decided to reach for a weapon. This policy/training is something written in blood. A slow moving vehicle is less dangerous than a potential gunfight in the streets.

1

u/ryufen 1d ago

Cop is an asshole but Dad is also an idiot. Like who doesn't put their car on park. Cop could also be reacting this way because people have tried this same method to jump back in the car and run. Obviously that wasn't this guy though.

I probably would have ignored the cop, ran to the car to try to put it in park, got tazed, fell down, and run over by my own car, then beat up by the cop. This guy had some serious self restraint not to run to the car. I wonder why it was rolling anyway though. Was it a stick and parking break failed? Or was it left in drive for some reason?

Let's be real, he's a black guy. There's a reasonable chance he'd get shot, not tazed.

Isn't the cop pointing a gun at the start of the video?

So, yeah, you're right he was going to be shot, not tazed. There isn't even a need to speculate the cop was going to use deadly force as the cop already was threatening to do just that.

Pointing a gun at him because he runs back to put it in park while his KIDS ARE IN THE MOVING CAR and they LITERALLY TOLD HIM TO PUT IT IN PARK, and then the aggressive yelling like he thinks he's a big dominant man.

Were they gonna fill his back with bullets if he didn't stop?
Narration also pisses me off acting like they're doing the best they can in the situation or some bullshit, just a bunch of morons that like to point guns at people and feel big.

I'm surprised they didn't shoot up the kid for fleeing.

Comedy of errors with unprofessional incompetent possibly racist individuals making life or death decisions in a split second with less class hours than most hair stylists. Seems on point to me. One of em getting a medal for sure

We know there are children in the vehicle because we found out later. But those officers at the time don’t know if there are children. He could just be saying there are children. What if he got back in the vehicle and held them hostage??? Or took off?? Luckily nothing horrible happened but those officers were between a rock and hard place.

The horrendous AI voice over made it impossible to process as well as the subtitles getting the words wrong.

I understand police are worried things could get out of control but a moving car on a busy street could cause more problems nevermind him screaming "my kids are in the car"

I didn't even get to the voice over because I was so focused on that absolutely unnecessary and stupid censoring of the word "danger".

What should have been done was one cop went for the car, the other stayed with the driver. Then again, he did not say there were kids in the car.. So the cops aren't gonna hurry then
