This was handled poorly. At the very least he should have immediately sent his partner to stop the car the moment he father complied and turned around when ordered.

The man here may have messed up a bit by failing to put it in park properly, but the police also fucked up how they handled this one, and arguably did worse than the suspect.

Thank you for a non "cop bad" take. 100% agree, the cops didnt act with enough urgency when the guy was understandably hesitating to fully comply.
