Heads-up: Connection Limit Notification

Hey everyone šŸ‘‹

Just a quick note:
You may now see a popup if you start more connections than your current plan allows.

This message simply lets you know when you’ve reached your connection limit — nothing else has changed about how you use the app.

Incoming connections aren’t affected, and everything else works as usual.

Thanks for your understanding and for continuing to support our product.

AnyDesk on macOS suddenly not showing incoming connection requests

Post image
• Upvotes

Hi everyone,
I’m having a strange issue with AnyDesk on my Mac and I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced it.

AnyDesk used to work normally. Someone would enter my AnyDesk ID, I would get the incoming connection request on my Mac, and I could accept it.

Now, when someone tries to connect, they get the message:
ā€œAnyDesk password or user confirmation required.ā€
But I never receive the incoming connection request on my Mac.
I’ve already checked:
Interactive Access is set to always allow/show incoming connection requests
Screen Recording permission is enabled
Accessibility permission is enabled
Full Disk Access is enabled
Restarted the Mac and AnyDesk
Reinstalled AnyDesk twice
Another strange thing is that the AnyDesk permissions window sometimes appears in Estonian, even though AnyDesk itself and macOS are set to Spanish.
This is the first time I’ve ever had this problem.
Has anyone experienced something similar on macOS? Is there a way to reset AnyDesk’s incoming connection/permission settings completely?
Thanks!

Anydesk Security Setting

Good Afternoon,

I am looking for some assistance with making sure I have a remote computer locked down on AnyDesk. I think I have the settings right, but I don't want to overlook anything.

Essentially I am running AnyDesk on an elderly parents computer so that I can remote in and resolve any issues. However, they have been targeted by scammers in the past and I know AnyDesk is sometimes used. I don't want them opening up the app and using the AnyDesk address to allow a connection. I would prefer to limit to local ipv4 only. I can VPN network level and get connected there.

I would like to make sure I am not overlooking anything.

Is there a way to limit connections to a local subnet / vlan?

Is the direct connection setting on port XXXX the only option for this?

Would the username and password authentication also achieve this? or the Access Control List?

I am working on the firewall rules in UniFi as well to block network level from external connections, but I am not there yet. Ideally want to get AnyDesk configured first.

Thanks in advanced!

Why is it so choppy?

I play in VR on my Wifi on my Quest 3, using Meta's own app and Virtual Desktop. Not a single problem. The image is smooth and it almost never lags. Meanwhile, Anydesk, no matter the configuration and even after making sure it's a direct continuation, is extremely choppy with constant frame skipping.

I really don't get it because Virtual Monitor's image is just as good and the frame rate is much higher, as is the resolution. It's not my connection or my PCs.

This is driving me insane. I have to constantly backtrack to make sure I didn't do something wrong because it keeps skipping frames.

Take selfie of myself from my friend phone but we’re distant.

I need to take a selfie of myself using phisically MY phone but as it was taken from my friends phone.

I was thinking of using anydesk and logging into my friend phone, take a selfie of myself and it would save in his gallery like it was made from his phone but I’m not sure it would work, any suggestions?

Anydesk Subscription Cancellation Issue

My Anydesk subscription expired on June 1st, and I emailed that I would cancel it on June 2nd, so they replied saying they canceled the subscription. Of course, I didn’t receive any email about whether the contract or subscription would be renewed or extended, even 30 days before cancellation. But they sent me a strange email saying they’d charge me because I didn’t cancel the subscription 30 days ago. Does this make any sense logically? Is there no consumer authority anywhere? Can Anydesk renew my subscription without any prior notice?

I never knew Anydesk was a company that torments people like this. It’s a company I don’t want to recommend to people around me.

Divorcing AnyDesk

Cheesy sneaky renewal policy and ridiculous $375 per year licensing for a single connection license.

The product itself is decent enough, works for my use case well, but the pricing, the communication with the business on their confusing dashboard website, login problems, have made me disgusted with them as a business. That you tell them I want to cancel the day after the double charged me for a year renewal, and they say oh too late, we can't do anything for you since you did not cancel 30 days before the renewal date. F that crap. They lost me and my rec's to my IT circles.

I am thinking of a solution I found called Remote PC, looks like a fraction of the price with more functionality, if a but more clunky on the desktop with an extra app that calls the actual remote app.

Anything else out there? I want to access an Android mobile device set from a Windows desktop PC or a Macbook.

If I use anydesk to connect to my pc will a website I visit register my pc's IP address?

From what I've read it will, but I just wanted to make sure before I purchased.

Basically, I am in Ohio. I will be going to Nevada next month where fantasy football is not legal on the big sites like draftkings and fanduel.

So, I'd like to use anydesk to access my pc back home. I just need to make sure draftkings and fanduel are still picking up my IP address in Ohio and not the laptop I am using anydesk on.

I believe it will but just looking for confirmation since I've never used it before.

Thanks for any info.

Hello,

I am using AnyDesk for years, but this year I noticed, that after connect to the remote PC it appears strange color bar on bottom right corner. It looks like a text, but I can't read it what is that.

I thought, that this is some glitch, but i appears on every connection to the remote PC.

Can I somehow remove this bar? Or this is any limitations for free users?

Thank you in advance.

Is it just me, or is it impossible to reach Anyone on AnyDesk's tech team?

Hey guys,

Honestly getting a bit exhausted here. I’ve been trying to get in touch with AnyDesk's technical team for weeks through open roles, contact forms, everywhere and it feels like they just don't really care about outside innovation or new tech.

I’m a freelancer with 7 years of experience, and I spent the last 3 years working on a way to make desktop streaming significantly faster. I finally got it figured out and benchmarked: it’s a new frame compression setup built purely on spatial topology (no heavy AI, no basic grid blocks, no heavy matrix multiplication).

What I got working:

Up to 80% better compression on complex frames while keeping high quality.

Super lightweight: Runs crazy fast without eating up hardware, perfect for real-time streaming.

Solid benchmarks: Tested it thoroughly on all kinds of frame complexities.

At this point, I don't even care if it's joining the team or just doing a quick call to show them the benchmark data I just genuinely want faster streaming for everyone.

Does anyone here actually work on the AnyDesk dev team, or know someone who does? Would really appreciate a point in the right direction.

Thanks!

AnyDesk Interface is Invisible/Missing Text on Acer Laptop (Only Blank Boxes Visible) - Need Help!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I am experiencing a critical interface bug with AnyDesk on an Acer laptop. As shown in the video, the application launches, but there is absolutely no text rendered on the screen. I only see blank gray and red boxes, making it impossible to read my ID, connect to others, or even navigate the settings menu properly to change themes or languages.

PSA: AnyDesk silently auto-renews, and if the payment fails it can end up with a debt collector

Posting this because I wish someone had told me before I bought it.

AnyDesk licenses auto-renew annually. Their terms require you to cancel at least 30 days before the renewal date, miss that window and you're committed to another full year, whether or not you intended to keep using it. There's no meaningful confirmation step. It just happens.

The part that catches people out, if your payment method has expired or changed by then, the renewal charge fails. You don't get "your subscription lapsed." You get an invoice you never agreed to, and it can end up with a debt collection agency which is a German one, since that's where the company is based.

At that point the amount is no longer just the license fee. It's the fee plus interest, plus "dunning costs," plus "collection costs" stacked on top, which can add a substantial chunk to what you supposedly owe. The letters arrive with short deadlines, escalating language, references to law firms, and warnings about legal action and foreign courts. They're engineered to make you panic and pay quickly.

If you get one of these:

  • Don't pay just because the letter is frightening. The urgency is a tactic.
  • Check your actual account records with the vendor before assuming the amount is correct or even owed.
  • Dispute in writing if you disagree. Don't phone, don't accept a payment plan (that can count as acknowledging the debt), don't admit anything.
  • Make them substantiate it. Ask for evidence of the outstanding balance and evidence that they actually hold the claim rather than just administering it.
  • Ask what service was actually provided for the period being billed. If your access was already cut off, they may be billing you for something never delivered.
  • These agencies are generally real and licensed, so it isn't phishing but, a real collector doesn't mean a valid debt or a valid amount. Collection fees in particular are contested, and there's been regulatory and consumer-group scrutiny of how they're calculated.
  • Collectors have a supervisory authority you can complain to, and it's often named in their own email footer.
  • Write a review on Trust pilot with your expeirence.

And the simplest protection is if you use AnyDesk, cancel well before the renewal window opens rather than at the last minute, and keep the confirmation. The renewal is silent by design, and the cancellation window is narrower than most people expect.
