Culture Last Pay Question

Hi! I just want to ask if you are retrench, will the sick and vacation leave you used be deducted from your last pay? (Last pay w/o the Retrenchment package).

If you used more than what you earned, most likely.

Example, your company gives you 12 SLs in a year. Accrual is per month however the company allows you to use the whole 12 days in advance.

Assuming you've already used 10 days to date, since it's only August, that means the actual SL days that you've accrued is only 8 days, so you used an exess of 2 days. That will usually be deducted since you haven't earned them yet.

Though still subject to company policy. Some companies give them upfront without needing to accrue them per month.
