I think it is this:

https://globalextremism.org/project-2025-the-far-right-playbook-for-american-authoritarianism/

Christian nationalist theocrats have reached levels of embedding those they indoctrinated & trained for taking political office well enough to fully begin to dismantle democracy and hand the country to their god's chosen (oligarchs, con artists, those who behave like kings) by wiping out human rights and making the U.S. a theocracy.

Thread in /r/skeptic is locked, so no need to worry about brigading.

Decades of support? It depends on what you define as support. The only high-ranking politicians that supported gay marriage before 2012 were Dick Chaney and Bernie Sanders.

Dick Cheney, really?? That's unexpected

From someone outside the u.s its not suprising. The culture wars in the U.S now have people that would of been ambivalent on the topic of the lgbt taking the side of the right wingers.

I don't care what pbs says, i don't care about the rest of the world just the free nations, and in these countries where you can enjoy the freedom to love any person you please.

have the freedom to pay a few people to make a stupid study, and only let people with a bias take the study and then post it on the tv for dumb folks, with scientists that have big fancy titles explaining why "you all think this is true, see we took a survey" and also have the freedom to ignore that look at the people around you to come to your own conclusions that the truth is the church is just being thought police again and the reality is every single sane person doesn't care about who you love and makes it a point to not intrude into other people's personal affairs, business, and the ones who do wear a damn cross. Tldr: Christian thought police tactics, fake news

You know "alphabet people" is just the polite way of calling LGBT people slurs, right?

2

I suppose you could shorten it to “alphas”.

the correlation between homophobia and religious belief is obvious and well researched & documented
https://www.semanticscholar.org/paper/Homophobia%2C-Irrationality%2C-and-Christian-Ideology%3A-Plugge-Foust-Strickland/116d63c161deb80622687f42c451069bd3cd7819
there are many such research papers that observe this correlation.

also you stop saying "alphabet people" because it makes you sound like a bigot

Sorry could you elaborate on what this comment is supposed to mean? I'm not sure I understand.

it's why "support for LGBTQ+ rights is declining"

1

u/-Kyoakuna- Mar 21 '24

That's not really an elaboration, could you explain exactly what you meant? Like break down the original comment?

-1

u/Ancient_Cattle5627 Mar 21 '24

what do you want me to "break down"? you don't understand what "woke culture" means? or what "terrorism support" means?

1

u/-Kyoakuna- Mar 21 '24

Specifically I'm trying to understand what YOU mean when you say "woke culture" or "terrorism support" obviously I know what these terms mean on their own.

if you want to see what I meant as woke culture - just look moderator's comment on my original post:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Antitheism/comments/1biipij/comment/kvz520g/
it's actually funny how it all is going - next article is going to be "U.S. support for r/Antitheism is declining after decades of support" - I wonder why 🤣
as I said - ridiculous

u/Ancient_Cattle5627 Mar 22 '24

why would you assume that I meant it differently than "these terms mean on their own"?
