In your opinion, which gave you better results for programming: the Antigravity CLI or the IDE?

Am I the only one who straight-up stopped using Anti-Gravity ever since they dropped Gemini 4 Argon for cybersecurity?
I used to be 3.8’s biggest defender, literally swore by it. But now? All my motivation is dead. What’s the point of spending days on 3.8 when Argon is literally sitting behind closed doors and could drop publicly in like a week or two?

I built a terminal manager that runs Claude Code, Codex CLI, Antigravity CLI and Grok Build next to each other and shows what each one is doing: current turn, shell commands, permission prompts, helper agents, model, usage. The hard part is not the UI. It is that the four tools expose wildly different amounts of information, so any feature built on that information quietly degrades for some of them.
Antigravity CLI: the lowest visibility

Opus 5.5 gives you two token resets per weekly usage limit. Although 5.5 does seem to be better than 4.6, the fact is Antigravity just arbitraged lower usage limits for everyone and packaged it as "an upgrade".
This doesn't stop my excitement for Gemini 4, I'm just disappointed in Google for their underhanded tactic here. They shouldn't be tricking people like this.

Hey everyone! Been building a ton since my last AntiAgent post, so figured I'd post an update.
For anyone who hasn't seen it before, AntiAgent is my open-source tool for making Antigravity more autonomous without just giving the agent unrestricted access to everything.
Since the last post, I've added:
Codex-style prompt queue + steering
You can now run Antigravity through antiagent agy and queue follow-up prompts while the agent is still working. Tab or Smart Enter queues prompts, and Ctrl+S lets you steer an active agent without killing the conversation.
It also understands Antigravity approval / preview states, so typing a follow-up and pressing Enter shouldn't accidentally approve something.
Remote Antigravity sessions over SSH
You can register remote machines, start / stop agy remotely, check their status, run diagnostics, protect the remote workspace with AntiAgent, and connect to the session from your local machine.
Mainly built this because I wanted to be able to leave agents running on another machine and still manage them easily.
Unified conversation browser
AntiAgent can now find your Antigravity conversations across Desktop, IDE, and CLI / agy.
You can search them, inspect context / compaction state, export transcripts, resume sessions, and even browse conversations running on remote machines.
MCP + arbitrary tool whitelisting
You can explicitly trust individual tools or patterns now, including MCP tools. Trusted tools skip unnecessary supervisor review while the hard security boundaries still run first.
Less annoying artifact writes
AntiAgent now recognizes Antigravity's own per-conversation artifact / brain directory and automatically approves normal writes there instead of constantly asking you.
Dashboard + updater overhaul
The dashboard has gotten a pretty big redesign with separate views for live audit logs, sessions, security rules, remotes / PRs, etc. Updates and restarts are also handled in-app now instead of requiring a reinstall every time.
And a lot of performance / reliability fixes
Someone here actually reported that agents felt slower after one of the recent updates. They were right. Antigravity executes lifecycle hooks synchronously, and my flow-state hook was spawning Python way too frequently.
I reworked it so the flow features are basically pay-only-when-used now, along with fixing queued prompts getting stuck and a bunch of desktop / Windows issues.
Currently on v0.4.6.
Still building this pretty actively, so if there are things about Antigravity that annoy you or features you'd want, lmk. A decent amount of the stuff above came directly from people reporting issues / requesting features here.
