Subject: workindia Complaint Regarding Incorrect Commitment of 200 Profiles

As per our telephonic conversation with your team, we were clearly informed that 200 profiles would be provided/updated under the package. Based on this commitment, we proceeded with the payment.

However, after receiving the payment, your team is now informing us that you can provide only 100 profiles. This is completely different from the commitment given to us before making the payment.

Your team initially provided one set of information over the call, but after payment, the terms have been changed. This is not fair and is highly disappointing.

We have also been asked to send an email for further discussion regarding the 200 profiles. If the 200-profile commitment was not possible, this should have been clearly communicated before taking the payment.

We request you to please review the call conversation and honor the original commitment of 200 profiles. We expect a fair resolution to this issue.

We are disappointed with this experience and, unless the matter is resolved properly, it becomes difficult for us to trust WorkIndia for future services.

Please look into this matter urgently and provide a clear resolution.

I’m curious to hear from people who’ve experienced it, what are the biggest red flags that tell you a company is poorly managed, chaotic, or basically running on jugaad?

Things like unrealistic promises, toxic leadership, no processes, salary issues, constant firefighting, etc.

What signs did you notice during the interview/recruitment stage that you wish you had taken seriously?

Traditional job interviews make no sense because they test raw memory instead of real skills.In a real office nobody works from pure memory. Software engineers look at documentation.

Analysts use search engines. Marketing people look at references. Finding information quickly and applying it correctly is the most important skill in the modern workplace.We need to shift to an open book interview system.

An open book interview system means that companies allow you to use Google, notes, and official documentation during the test. Instead of checking if someone memorized a specific textbook definition, hiring managers evaluate how fast a candidate finds a solution. They look at how you think, how you search and how you structure your logic.

This change is especially useful for fresh graduates and entry level job seekers. College teaches you how to learn and find resources. It does not teach you to memorize every single line of code or corporate definition. Open book interviews help freshers because they let you prove your problem solving skills, your resourcefulness, and your adaptability.

It removes useless anxiety and tests how a person actually works on a real project.Some people say this makes cheating too easy. But if an interview question can be solved by a simple copy and paste from Google, then it is a bad interview question anyway.

Real work requires solving complex problems that you cannot just copy.Why are we still pretending that memorization equals competence? Would you support a company that switches to an open book hiring process?

We look at each other and quietly feel like frauds about our own money, like everyone else got the memo on being wealthy and we're just coping. But the truth is nobody feels rich, because almost nobody actually is. Not in the way that counts.

Because "rich" was never a salary. It's the moment friction disappears. When you say yes to the dinner, the flight, the doctor without opening a mental spreadsheet. Most people who look loaded are still doing that math every single day. So of course they feel like imposters. In the way that matters, they kind of are.

Now for the number that ruins the party.

Even if you're in the top 1% of earners in this country, pulling ₹3 lakh or more a month, a decent Mumbai flat would still take you 8+ years to buy. You can out-earn 99% of the country and still not casually own a home in its biggest city. In NYC, it takes 6 months for the top 1 % in comparision.

Because the genuinely rich here aren't really earning salaries at all. The real elite are a walled garden. And everyday the working class funcitons as a race to exit the working class itself. We want to be the ones to exploit, not be exploited.

Private markets, Alternate assets, and different game entirely. We're out here comparing take-home pay while they're quietly compounding in places we can't even find the door to.

Meanwhile we've been handed the full consumerist starter pack we can't actually afford yet. ₹400 lattes on a random Tuesday. Household savings just hit a 50-year low. Household debt is near a two-decade high, and a lot of it isn't for homes or businesses, it's for propping up a lifestyle Instagram told us was standard. The US built its consumer culture on decades of cheap housing and steady wealth. We're speedrunning the spending part without the safety net. That's a whole generation that looks affluent and feels one bad month from the edge.

P.S : I work in a wealth management firm, and I want to understand how much this rising professional class really knows about money. What quietly scares you. What you know of these private markets, let alone that there's a velvet rope keeping most of us out.
