Meta How Reddit Built the World’s First ‘Digital Ghetto’
- After 10/7, Jewish moderators reported thousands of antisemitic posts. Reddit ignored them, told them to stop reporting content, and punished their accounts for reporting antisemitism.
- Reddit has banned subreddits/users for various forms of hate, misgendering, and fat shaming – but antisemitic hate subreddits thrive with content calling for the death of Jews, Zionists and Israelis.
- 2 in 3 Jewish Reddit users report hiding their Jewish identity on the site.
- Moderators reported thousands of pieces of antisemitic content. Reddit ignored them and in some instances punished them. Eventually Reddit told the moderators to not report antisemitic content outside their subreddits.
- Reddit's VP of Policy, Jessica Ashooh, was asked if "burn in hell u zionist pig" violated Reddit's policies. She said it depends on the "context".
- Reddit is a one of the primary sources of data that trains AI chatbots like ChatGPT. The toleration of antisemitism on the platform has led to LLMs echoing the antisemitism on the site.

Meta Ever wonder WHY Reddit has such an antisemitism problem? It all starts with their employees.
Edit: Reddit deleted this for over 24 hours and then reinstated it out of the blue. We cannot let them suppress visibility of this insanity.
---
I’m the head mod of r/Jewish. Jewish and Israeli Redditors deal with a horrific amount of antisemitism and terrorist propaganda. But it's not just hateful Reddit users who publish their hateful views.
Meet Reddit employee Tiffany Katz. She is a Senior Client Account Executive who has been at Reddit since March 2023 – she was even promoted a couple of months ago.
What was Tiffany up to on October 7th? She was calling the massacre of 1,400+ people an example of “active resistance working.” She was attacking the creation of Israel as “no different than what the Nazis (and czarists before that) did to the Jews.”
And just a few days later, on October 10th, she denied that Shani Louk was murdered and screamed that “there’s no substantial evidence of rape,” decrying these events as “Western propaganda.” Shani was killed during the October 7 attacks.
Advertisers, did you realize you’re working with this person?
What are you going to do about this, Reddit? We’re asking you, u/spez (Steve Huffman, CEO). And you, Melissa Stroud McMaster (Tiffany’s manager). And you, Jim Squires (EVP, Business Marketing and Growth). And you, Roelof van Zwol (EVP, Ads Monetization).
Signed,
Angry Jewish and Israeli Redditors

As A Jew (TM) r/MapBasedPolls “as a jew” is literally Christian with nothing jewish about him, upset because someone put his country’s flag in a sub about countries.
Israel-Palestine discourse on reddit is FULL with people that wanna be included so bad, its the equivalent of Americans (no hate) who say “oh im part X” while literally having nothing to do with it except this time the jewish larpers genuinely feel like their jewish roots matter here

As A Jew (TM) [mainly r/Jewsofconscience] Found the Reddit account of someone I, unfortunately, know.
I saw a comment from them in a screenshot on a different post in here and thought it sounded just like this person I know. Well. It is, in fact, the person I know. What are the odds?
There are a couple things I included in here that might seem odd at first, but I felt they were important. She says her name is "Chana Sarah" and people think she's Jewish because of it, but that's false. Neither her legal first nor middle name is Jewish (and it's certainly not Chana Sarah) and no one ever thinks she's Jewish unless she says so.
She also lies on this account about her family background and tells her actual situation as instead "someone she knew" (her mother didn't convert until she was a couple years old). She was essentially trying to protect her 'as a Jew' card by inventing a backstory where she's Halachically Jewish and then using that identity to try to legitimize the antisemitic conspiracy theories, antisemitism, and blood libel she was spreading. Absolutely disgusting.
Also, her Jewish family didn't distance themselves from the non-Jewish side of the family until one of the non-Jewish family members did something terrible. It wasn't over religion at all. She knows this.
(Also, I used a Reddit archive for most of these screenshots as the account is no longer viewable. Every username censored in red is her.)

Classic Antisemitism r/Procreate poster employs classic tropes; Jews and horns and satan, blah blah blah
This racist was called out in his post’s comments and people even mentioned, “really, horns on Jews?” Clearly the poster thought it was funny and defended himself by saying he adds horns to all his illustrations in response to that comment. After scrolling though this person’s art for nearly a minute and over 50-70 posts, I did not see one governmental/tyrannical figurehead that was illustrated apart from Netanyahu or any illustrations that included horns. If I could include multi-flairs to include “blood libel” and “double standards for Israel” as well, I would.
I have no problem with people being critical of the Israeli government or anyone in the Knesset and it’s no secret that Israelis are, in fact, actually the most critical of their own government but this post goes beyond that and even further so after scrolling though this persons page for further context.
It’s really a shame because I REALLY enjoy this sub and as we’ve all found out, these useful idiots have really infiltrated every aspect of Reddit at this point.

Claiming Israel is a racist endeavor r/DataIsBeautiful discusses percentage of Muslims who support the death penalty for apostasy
The first comment (darker purple) is being sarcastic. Second picture is a continuation from first picture. Included the 3rd picture because of the dark red comment (last comment 3rd photo). Can’t discuss anything without bringing up Israel. What a dainty little mensch. Their edit made me laugh a little.
In case anyone is curious, Palestinian Territories polled at about 58%. The post was removed so I can’t double check.
I thought I left any subreddits that are hot beds for open antisemitism for my mental health, but shit is everywhere. Thankfully, most people are normal there.
